@vdova ; video

[Her hair is in two messy twin braids. Her eyes are glassy. The sharp-eyed might notice she's probably, definitely drunk. The less-so might just assume she's overly tired. Her tongue presses into her cheek as she considers how to start this one, but in the end she just rips the bandaid off quickly: ]

So, tell me, how is it that you handle grief?

[She probably won't be elaborating on why she's asking, unless she has a certain level of familiarity with you, but you can try. People closest to her probably already know what this is really about: Her sister is gone. From Moorecroft. From Etraya. From the top side of the dirt. Gone and back to dead, and Yelena is spiraling.]

For us it's a known, not a belief. Jedi who've passed on do often come back as spirits, with guidance, and wisdom. I don't know about committees or pearly gates, but we know there's a journey ahead of us. I also don't know about your reality, but...belief is powerful, like...it's never nothing. In any universe, of that I'm sure.

[This one because she does think well of Yelena, and it bears saying.]

It's not fair, I know - and this place may be going out of its way to hurt us, as part of an experiment, or...but she'll always be your sister. You carry her with you.

So I have a question for you: how would your sister want to be remembered, do you think?

[An unspoken 'how would she want you to deal with this' is in there, and Mal's expression is one of honest asking, not prompting a specific answer.]

[She nods.]

It is, and I don't see why my universe would be the special, lucky one. Heh, it's not exactly a sunshine and rainbows place in the past few decades.

[The rest she just listens to, carefully and respectfully. And, a few moments, after that:]

Sounds like the sort of person I'd have liked. Would you do me the honour of telling me about her? I'm happy to keep you company and make sure you get through things alright.
