( things had been rather rough for heather the last couple of days [really the entirety of her life], with big emotions and fears being brought up to her by vincent again. it was hard to face such things alone and while she had made a considerable effort to be friendly with others here, she just felt like something else could be done to chase away the sadness that seemed to loom over her.

so today, for a change, she appears on the network in the most festive clothing she could find with an energy only the sun could match. )

Hey guys and gals, I'm Heather Mason if we haven't met yet. This place has been kinda down lately, hasn't it? So I have a proposition for anyone looking to have a good time.

( she paused for a moment to bring forth a noise maker, blowing on it before continuing on. )

I'm going to be throwing a fun little party at my apartment next Friday, and if you rock out too hard, you're welcomed to sleepover. Bring whatever you want to make this a blast, but I've got the music covered!

( with a flip of her hand against her short blonde locks, she gave a wink at the camera. )

Be here or be square, and if you don't want to come because you're lame, I'm taking donations!

[ There's been something nagging in his head, so he might catch up with Heather to see what answer she got when she does ask. But, for now- ]

I can help with setup. You want me to bring alcohol? And [ a noticeable pause ] other stuff people have to make a cool party?

[ Which Gorgug? Totally knows all about! He doesn't regularly show how awkward he is in front of Heather or anything! ]

( well that was an unexpected response to her question. as much as she was starting to come to like and appreciate gorgug and how unique he was, she wouldn't have in a million years expected for him to actually offer to do something as cool as bringing alcohol.

truly, she was starting to become more intrigued by him the more they spoke. it seemed he was full of surprises. )

You bring alcohol? I was expecting you to warn me not to allow any at the party. Not that I'll say no to you brining anything at all.

[ Gorgug watches this video clip. He watches it through to its end, but gets stuck on its middle, has him sitting there in a confusion that turns into a worry. Does Heather think he's-- a dweeb? Does she think he's uncool? That he wouldn't allow alcohol at a party?

Is that the vibes he gives off? And this is something he shouldn't be worried about any more, but he feels-- like has to prove something. He can't be lame. She asked him to help him, and if she really wants a cool party--

So it might take a minute for Gorgug to get back to her, but when he does, he looks fairly the same (even with the hat still on him): ]

Well, you know, I was thinking I could bring some edibles too for it. Or some snuff, or whatever you like. [ Cool, so very cool. ] And even-- there was a space I was thinking about getting. That'll have music and space and that anyone can hang out in, sleep over--whatever. If you wanted somewhere cool to put a party. For everyone.

[ Just. Casually throwing that out here, Heather. Don't mind Gorgug. ]

( she liked him, but he seemed to come across as a stickler for rules and following advice, considering their few conversations so far. so to hear [or watch] him let loose like this was interesting for heather.

there was a small part of her that wanted to see how far she could push him into being more fun. obviously she wasn't going to influence him into doing anything illegal or truly bad, but she will be making a mental note to hang out with him more in the future. )

Now that's a party-

Seriously a space too? Please get it now and let me know the address so I can let people know the venue location will be changing-

( she'll touch base on space in a second. )

Wait, what's snuff?

[ Holy shit, okay-- he's gotta figure that out! He did already have an idea in mind, but... okay, he can do this! He's just gotta hope the companion bots can build it in time--! ]

A drug? You snort it-- [ He motions with a finger to his nose. ] It's not that strong, but, I had with my groups sometimes... honestly, I like weed, better. Since you can eat it.

[ And he loves eating... ]

( there's a big sigh of relief on heather's end when he clarified what that meant, because a part of her was starting to think that this was going somewhere dark.

far darker than she wanted her party to go. but when he mentioned those kind of drugs, she couldn't help but look around a bit as if someone might hear them. )

I didn't know you went that hard....I mean I'm down, but I'd rather do that stuff just between the two of us. I don't know if I can handle a bunch of people who are both drunk and high.

( and she means it- she will absolutely use it with him before the party, alone in her apartment, anywhere. )

[ Did he go too hard? ...maybe he should feel good about being extreme (is that what this is), but Gorgug takes a second to think and... yeah, him and his friends usually go to extremes. In a lot of things.

So when he responds again, he looks a little sheepish, but not in a overly noticeable way. ]

Okay, we can stick to the drinks. And I'll bring finger food-- normal foods. I can still make normal brownies. And finger food? You ever had ants on a log?

[ See, look! He knows how to be normal! ]

( he truly did come across as someone who was rather extreme in his responses. they went from talking about drugs to-

discussing foods moms would make for their kids soccer team. needless to say, heather quite enjoyed his attitude about the whole thing. he was amusing and cool in the end it seemed. )

Ants on a log? Like raisins on a celery stick?

( she won't reject anything he plans on making, she just wanted to make sure this wasn't a euphemism for anything else. )

Sure, it all sounds really great. Seriously....now I feel like I owe you for all the help. How can I repay you?

[ Repayment? He sits on that for a second, even thinking... did he need to repaid? What would feel fair to Heather? Gorgug understands wanting to give back to people, but... ]

You don't have to repay me-- I want a good party like you. I want us to have a good time. [ There's nothing more to it than that. ]

But yeah, I can make-- that. And I guess sandwiches... if anyone else wants to take over the food though, they can. Let me figure out the space. I'll get back to you when I do.

( just when she thought she had him figured out, he just threw her one curveball after the other. it only made her curiosity for him grow stronger and she couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like to have grown up in his world instead of hers.

she assumed he probably had some troubles of his own [doesn't everyone], but he seemed nice overall. )

Is that all, really? Fine, I appreciate it then. Let me know as soon as you can-

and honestly? The more food the better.

[ He goes silent for half an hour: thinking out what exactly he wants to get, and then opening a discussion with Aurora over the details. He wants to get as much available as he can. Gorgug's been thinking about a space like this for a while, although he's been waffling on it for one reason or another...

But eventually, Heather will get a ping for a new video clip on her network post. And it's the greenest guy in Etraya (fight him, Riz): ]

Okay, I got it. Aurora's gonna get the companion bots to put it together-- it's gonna have space. And a bar, and a kitchen-- and toilets and everything.

It's gonna be cool. There'll be music, too.

( during the time it took for him to reply, she had gone off to start working on her invitation text and drawing a silly little image to go along with it. she was deep into drawing herself and a few pet rocks [as this was now part of the party, a pet rock competition] when she finally heard the ping go off.

she appeared in the video now, seated elsewhere in her apartment. the excitement and happiness in her expression could not be contained-

she truly could not believe he would go through all this effort just for her. )

Seriously? I was killing myself putting together a crappy boombox for the music, this is amazing I-

( she doesn't want to get too emotional here because things had been difficult for her and she was nearly on the verge of tears. from one emotional lull to this high, well it made her nearly want to run out of her apartment hunt gorgug down to properly thank him. )

Seriously, I owe you a lot for this.

[ There it is, owing him again. Gorgug gets it, though: he feels like he's had to owe a lot of people recently, and this doesn't entirely have to do with Heather. But it's not excluding her--he wants to show his appreciation, and he wants to do something good for her. If he can expand that to other people, then doesn't that make it a good thing?

He puts back on the shutter shades, since clearly they are necessary. To either look cool, or ridiculously silly. ]

Make a cool party. [ Said, while looking extremely cool, Heather. ] I asked to have it around this area... between the café north of the apartments, and my lab. I think a lot of us live at the apartments there. And I asked for some stuff-- you want me to get into it now or later?

Texting would be easier. I can send you what I sent to Aurora. I'll send it to your inbox, as a surprise.

[ In case anybody else happens to be watching their exchange for ??? reasons? ]

( the shutter shades are a nice touch, and she decided she was going to ask him to bring them to the party so she can borrow them.

for now though, she saw the new clip and decided it was best for them to text. )

Sounds like a good plan, hit up my inbox with the information and I'll make sure to get on it for the party.

( with that, there would be no further responses from her as she'll be too busy being excited about the party and preparing for it. )
