( things had been rather rough for heather the last couple of days [really the entirety of her life], with big emotions and fears being brought up to her by vincent again. it was hard to face such things alone and while she had made a considerable effort to be friendly with others here, she just felt like something else could be done to chase away the sadness that seemed to loom over her.

so today, for a change, she appears on the network in the most festive clothing she could find with an energy only the sun could match. )

Hey guys and gals, I'm Heather Mason if we haven't met yet. This place has been kinda down lately, hasn't it? So I have a proposition for anyone looking to have a good time.

( she paused for a moment to bring forth a noise maker, blowing on it before continuing on. )

I'm going to be throwing a fun little party at my apartment next Friday, and if you rock out too hard, you're welcomed to sleepover. Bring whatever you want to make this a blast, but I've got the music covered!

( with a flip of her hand against her short blonde locks, she gave a wink at the camera. )

Be here or be square, and if you don't want to come because you're lame, I'm taking donations!

( she felt a bit guilty she never did reach out to check up on him directly, but things had been so busy and filled with one thing followed by another that she just hadn't gotten a chance to.

she also had just gone through something rather emotional and painful involving the memory of her father, so when she remembered vax had been looking for his own parent-

well she couldn't help but feel a twinge of connection there between the two. )

Well I mean yeah, you seemed really worried. I don't want to pry or anything, but....if you ever want to talk about what happened I'm here you know?

[ He would not have expected her to check up on him. Sure, she helped him out when he was in need, but she didn't really know him and they had just met. They also come from different worlds, and he's sure she's got her own problems to handle.

So it's surprising, and it says a lot that she would worry about someone she met in passing. ]

Thanks. That night, I saw my mother. She was killed when I was young. I guess it still haunts me, sometimes. Not just in this place. I'm sorry to have worried you.

( that was the level of empathy heather had for others, and while she could be a bit rough around the edges at times, there was a desire in her to help others.

additionally, since the time they had met, she had been advised to make friends. form pacts with people, to keep each other safe in the event of echo or aurora creating a rather dangerous event for them. so while she did have a bit of an ulterior motive here, she did care about others too. )

You don't have to apologize, I get it. You must miss her a lot....and to have lost her so young...

So seriously, come to the party. Let's take a break from all this stress and negativity?

[ Having spent years only relying on his sister to joining with a group, Vax knows the benefit of building ties with others who can be counted on.

The suggestion does make him smile a little, which, although it is unseen, can be heard in his voice. ]
