( things had been rather rough for heather the last couple of days [really the entirety of her life], with big emotions and fears being brought up to her by vincent again. it was hard to face such things alone and while she had made a considerable effort to be friendly with others here, she just felt like something else could be done to chase away the sadness that seemed to loom over her.

so today, for a change, she appears on the network in the most festive clothing she could find with an energy only the sun could match. )

Hey guys and gals, I'm Heather Mason if we haven't met yet. This place has been kinda down lately, hasn't it? So I have a proposition for anyone looking to have a good time.

( she paused for a moment to bring forth a noise maker, blowing on it before continuing on. )

I'm going to be throwing a fun little party at my apartment next Friday, and if you rock out too hard, you're welcomed to sleepover. Bring whatever you want to make this a blast, but I've got the music covered!

( with a flip of her hand against her short blonde locks, she gave a wink at the camera. )

Be here or be square, and if you don't want to come because you're lame, I'm taking donations!

[ Rosie doesn't mind at all. Actually, it's a welcome sight! Her musicial talents don't usually receive such eagerness anymore. Well, maybe here but- That's besides the point. ]

You got it! Smokey will even have a cute little sweater and everything. Very dashing.

[ ... You know, while she normally wouldn't question it does stand out enough that she can't help but ask: ] Does it need to be a special kind of rock or just, like, one I found by the river?

We'll have to get him a special spot in the Maximum for him to show off his sweater.

( it took heather longer to respond this time as she had been working out some details with gorgug on moving the party to a new location-

one with much more room than her apartment at least. )

It's actually a little joke I'm playing. Some dude asked why anyone would bring a rock to a party and well...

We now have a pet rock competition in the works? So grab a rock and dress it up.

Absolutely. Have to get all his best angles. There's, you know, a lot of them since he's such a lanky boy.

[ Speaking of the beast, he comes to curiously snuffle towards the camera since he hears Rosie talking. Yes, hello, who is this? ]

My rock will be the most dashing, too. Or gorgeous. Pretty sure rocks are non-binary, so- Wanna' respect that.

( the moment smokey appeared on the clip, it didn't take heather long to smile and wave at him. he was so sweet and she had been instantly charmed by him the moment they first met. of course he would have a special spot at her party.

to her comment though, all she could do was laugh. )

As long as it isn't a sentient rock that will eat up all of our food and drink all of our beer!

[ Even though he can only catch the movement of the wave on the camera, it is enough to excite him into bumping his nose directly against the screen. For a moment, the lens is obscured by nothing but dog snoot. Rosie manages to nudge him away though and wipe it off with a small, amused huff. ]

I wouldn't dream of it. Like, I may drink a bit of beer if it's available but of course host gets the most. Those are just standard party rules!
