CHIRPER
There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER toplevels are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month. Please feel free to switch out any of the Q&A questions with those listed here! We have an example of a filled out form here. |

q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
a: back home or etraya? back home I have quite a number of accomplishments, but here well I guess being able to survive aphaia.
q: What do you miss most about your home world?
a: all of my lovely items, especially the royal tea set I had. the painfully lacking diversity of tea here leaves much to be desired.
q: How do you support or encourage others during difficult times?
a: there are a vast number of ways to comfort someone and provide support for them. I believe the best way to start is to observe the person, get a feel of what they might enjoy and go from there. offering to listen, a small comforting touch with it, is a great way to start.
q: What was the last book you read?
a: Thaïs by Anatole France.
q: What do you do for fun?
a: calligraphy, reading, art, tea consumption. most of all— spending time with good friends.

I might just get close to begging aurora for something more than plain green tea though.

I love Thaïs by Anatole France too! What a coincidence!
[Yeah. He's no idea what that is. Shit. Hopefully she doesn't ask too many follow up questions.]
cw: sex work mentions
you do? how....well I must say that's a surprise. you must either really like french literature or are really into sex workers and their history.
( somewhere in the background, 'only you' was playing. surely. )

And because I'm thoughtful like that, I gave it a read.
[Did Etraya have Google, because while the above is true, he can't even guess what else is in this book.]
It is the oldest profession, right? So there's a lot of history to know!

( thankfully for him there are no further follow up questions from her about the book. he isn't off the hook though; if they run into each other in person, she's bringing it up. )
that's very true, transcending time and even space, at least in my world. so if we're to be friends, I'd like to know a bit more about you. former fiancée? what happened there, if you don't mind sharing.

[fuck.]
Uh, well.
I'm a mess, mostly? And a mercenary.
Made our lives more than a little unstable, I guess.
It was probably for the best.
[So he didn't get her horribly murdered again.]
We're still friends.
And hang out but... I'm still into her, but I'm not sure if she'll ever be into me again.
I'm a lot. And I know I am.

going to wrap this up here ♥
[Aaand a check mark.]
And I wish I was better at the observation part - my Order is supposed to come with a good ability to read surface emotions, but I've always been just pots at it.

( aka cheap stuff but she's far too refined to stoop that low. )
it's quite alright, it's a difficult skill to truly hone in on. practice and spending hours analyzing people and their actions can be quite boring unless you have a reason to do it.

The best among us can read emotions, sense and differentiate between living beings at great distances. Sometimes there's even unique bonds between people.
But when I try to get a read on someone or do one of the standard misdirecting mind tricks, I tend to either just sneeze or cause sneezes.
Inelegant, to say the least.
no subject
( she's not going to clarify why, but she understands where mal was coming from. )
sneezes? perhaps something psychological is holding you back. not that I'm an expert by any means at all, but it seems like something you could possibly change.

What tea blends do you prefer?
no subject
given the time of year, I'd appreciate something more floral like a cherry blossom and matcha blend, perhaps a chai for the mornings. though pu-erh teas have always been a go to for me. what about yourself?
no subject
I have not aligned my drinks with the seasons before - but that does sound like a pleasant way to try something new.
no subject
( that was a compliment, she promises. )
it's really just a unique habit of mine, but if you're ever inclined to give it a try, if I'm still here by the time the summer equinox comes around, I'd love to have you join me in trying a fruit blend. really I should host something nice for others here given our unique circumstances...
( a literal tea party only more refined. )

[ what. he reads. ]
no subject
it was one of those novels that led to a great play and frankly I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. there are some interesting parallels to my own life in it in a way but-
if you haven't read it yet, it's a great little book to pickup and read here and there. what about you, have you indulged in any good literature lately?
no subject
It's been a while since I read it.
Recently read The Hobbit. And Inferno, cause I've been to hell and I figured I'd see how Dante viewed it. Not entirely inaccurate if I'm bein honest
no subject
still I'm not sure if you're joking or being serious. been to hell? on a ship or took a casual stroll to it?
