CHIRPER

⏵ CHIRPER ⏴
Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
  • Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
  • When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya!
  • Other characters can be prompted to fill out their friends' profiles for them. This includes the Q&A section!
  • Alternatively, they choose not to fill out the form, and it remains unfilled! These unfilled profiles will not be posted live.
  • Characters either like or dislike others CHIRPER profiles. These responses are private between the characters involved.

For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER toplevels are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

Please feel free to switch out any of the Q&A questions with those listed here! We have an example of a filled out form here.

[ Yes. She does tap the desk, considering this one. But Barbara has already imprinted a very recordable choice in her actions across this Chirper, and she doesn't like to leave gaps. ]

A fan of Kafka, or that specific work?

Well, would you believe me if I said I don't consider myself a fan of anything or anyone. I enjoy the work or I don't. I agree with his ideas or I don't. It's that simple.

[ Ookay, Crane. ]

And did you?

Enjoy it, or agree with the ideas?

[Okay Rachel Barbara.]

I enjoyed the theme. I did not particuarily enjoy the passivity of the main character. But that's kind of the point, isn't it?

A bit.

The whole Kafkaesque commentary on just rolling over and taking whatever is handed to you, even if what that is happens to be just needing to die so you stop being an inconvenience to others.

Of course. Because people love hearing they should just roll over and die.

[Or being told it would have been better were you never born.]

But the truth of the matter is some people are stronger than others. It's just we all have different ways of measuring that strength.

And differing defitions of what strength is.
How it's exhibited. By whom. Under what circumstances.

Some consider cheating anathema. Others believe you're utelising your intelligence.

But no matter the strength displayed, the most important question behind all of this is why.

[Some people show strength out of necessity. Some demonstrate it for emphasis. Some out of self-preservation. Some because they enjoy it.]

And what are the norms and rules you're playing in.

Dostoevsky had a point in that just because you think you can,
and you consider yourself superior for skill or social placement,
doesn't always mean you should.
