The Lovers is his present. Not real love, by the by. But it means that there is emphasis on making choices based on relationships and remaining true to himself. It's related to his beliefs and urging him to choose what he really believes in.

Page of Pentacles is his future. Unfortunately... there is failure ahead of what he plans to do. In his present, he chose poorly about what he truly believes in... he followed the wrong path forward to escape his plight and suffering. And so... he'll face failure in what he intends to do. It's not death just a delay in what he needs for himself.

Because I don't have any power. It's a hobby for the useless and powerless. However, it is something I was taught as a ritual. It'd mean something if I could do anything with it, but all I can do is vague readings that can be cast aside.
