Hello.

How are you all doing? [ A beat. ] Actually, you all know I don't care so let's ignore that question, hm?

So, who would like to have their fortune, romantic future, or whatever told?

I know, I know... tarot is still a [ Longer pause. ] hobby of mine, but one you get to reap the rewards of today.

Fun, right?

( if only he could see just how high her eyebrow lifted at his words. he was a strange one, but interesting in his mannerisms. )

What kind of religion is it? I'm a Buddhist myself, I'm sure it's not anywhere near being similar but....

( especially considering buddhists didn't usually do card readings but alas, if they ever do get close enough, maybe he'll learn why she'd know how to do such a thing. )

That's quite alright, I was the one who was curious about your religion.

( emphasis on the 'your', because really she was just trying to pry a bit more into this mysterious man who was into equally mysterious things. )

Order of the Holy Woman? A deity of sorts or....

( he couldn't mean their god was viewed as a woman, now could he? )

You know, most religions in my world don't refer to God as a woman. I must admit such a deviation in what's normal for me is quite interesting. Is there a reason why you refer to her as a she?

( somewhere in the background he could hear her shuffling and opening a book, a pen clicking.

someone was taking notes. )

( while she's still unaware that he's technically speaking of a cult here rather than a normal and established religion, she can't help but make a small noise in amusement. there was something almost positive in the way he referred to his god as a woman; though she held back on any compliments. after all that didn't mean he held women in higher regard because his god was one.

it could mean a number of things. though her interest in learning more was there but... )

This is all quite....interesting. Would you be offended if I invited you to a cup of tea? I'd like to lean more you see, I like to be aware of things in the world and learning about different worlds is something I've quite become interested in.

( inara no. )

That's not the best attitude for spreading the good word...

( not that she wanted him to proselytize her, but she did want to learn more for her own curiosity. it didn't seem like the worst idea to meet up with him, but to invite someone so odd to her apartment?

didn't quite seem right either. )

Perhaps I am, a cup of tea at the park? At that cafe around here? Could be worse ways of spending your time after all.

Certainly an interesting approach I must say. Well if you do decide to take me up on my offer, meet me before our next mission at anytime. I can be reached through our devices to figure out a time and exact place.

( his method of being rather secretive about it made her wonder if this was just a way to truly draw out possible 'true believers' and those who could easily be converted. of course she didn't know his true reasons for being secretive about it but for now she'd see what he had to say.

without judgement of course. )

Well until then, Mister Fortune Teller.
