I've met people from a wide variety of places here. Earlier, I met someone who hails from Japan. I would be most intrigued if we were gifted an artist from somewhere quite far away. I know you've not had the chance to fully explore the art of the world, perhaps there would be some inspiration for you.

Those are rather personal questions, but I will answer you truthfully. I miss speaking with my mother. She was kind and wise. And I would give anything to have the opportunity to speak with her again.

That is an understandable wish, monsieur. I too find myself missing my mother's wisdom.

[ And even her disappointment. Anything with a semblance of Aline and not the empty body she's left in Clea's care. ]

It is difficult to walk the road without them.

I am not an artist, outside of what was expected of me to learn.

[He's a prince. There was some expectations of learning all the skills. Art and appreciation is definitely one of them. Especially with Frigga as his mother.]

I was lucky to have her for a very long time before she passed. And she died protecting innocent people, as a warrior. Her funeral was well-attended.

I once signed up for a cage fight for prize money. That was pretty fun.

I miss the Karrnwood back home. It's a massive pine forest with a lot of streams running through it.

How tall are the pines? Do they crowd out the sky, or is the sky open above so you can watch the clouds?

I did win! It helps that they didn't have any rules against doing it while shifted.

They're really tall. It's a very old forest. Although I don't really focus on the sky too much. I'm usually doing something like chasing deer through them, although I have howled at the moon before when I got to a clearing.

If there’s one thing I miss the most about home, it would be my family. If there’s one experience I could have again, it’d be witnessing the birth of my daughter.

It is difficult to be separated from one's family. I am...concerned about my family in my absence.

[ One of the best ways to convince people to speak is to speak herself. Even better if the words she speaks are true ones. ]

Do you know if it's possible for us to be reunited with them?

As far as I'm aware, the only way we could be reunited with them is if they’d been brought here in Etraya or if we'd been sent home.

Oh, that's a tricky one... Probably the first time I got to see the stars again after a long time of being unable to! That was nice.

From home, there isn't a ton I miss I can't get here? If anything, I just miss my friends. But I wouldn't wish for them to end up here either.

Seeing anything after you believe you may never see it again does tend to provoke strong feelings. How long were you kept from the stars?

I had a good wine the other week. Don’t know the vintage but it all goes down the same anyway so what does it really matter.

If you think it all goes down the same, you need to experience better wine, mademoiselle. There is a difference, though not as much of one as sommeliers present. I think the sommeliers are insecure about the lack of depth of their product.

The Noir at one of the cafes is passable. They do not charge for it.

Which dish of hers do you miss most?

She made the best soups, and she's always been very skilled with where to use flavors and spices for a perfect meal. I used to collect leaves for her to season her food with; she's taught me a lot about the uses of plants around the yard. A warm bowl with some of her baked bread on a cold day... that's impossible to replicate.
