[The video turns on to show Clive outdoors. He seems to be walking rather quickly as he speaks so the video is a little shaky.]

Forgive me if the quality of this video is not great. It’s my first time doing this, but I have a message for the community.

At midday, there will be a battle in the Ochreward area. This is a planned event and there is nothing to be alarmed of. You will likely see and hear two giant creatures fighting. One will be a dragon and the other a dark knight upon his steed. Please say well clear of the area. While this is just a spar for them, it can very quickly become deadly for anyone who is too close or tries to intervene.

If the dragon sees you and can, he’ll likely do what he can to avoid hitting you. The knight will not. Don’t take the risk.

I repeat: do not approach the area. It will be unsafe for you. This isn’t a fun event to come gawk at. This is two highly skilled warriors testing their mettle against one another.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know, and I will do my best to help you. I will be near the area where the spar is happening in an effort to prevent anyone from interrupting if the request needs to be made in person, but it would be safer if you asked here instead.

I'm just the messenger. Honestly, you're only knowing about 5 minutes after I was told. Where is your forge? I'll try and put up a barrier of some kind. Can't make any promises.

Bottom half of the island. If they stick to the top half, there's not much up there to ruin. Except trolley tracks. Again.

I put up a wall near the tracks already, but that would mitigate damage at best. I'll try and get one up around your forge, but I don't think I have the time to make the walls very high.

If they stick to the upper half, then it'll be fine. If they destroy my forge somehow anyway, I'll be telling Dion he owes me a new one.

Fair enough. And he would owe you a new one. Pretty sure all of this was his idea.

He didn't seem the type to want to fight for fun, but I also wouldn't have guessed he was secretly a dragon... So. Surprises all around.

He generally isn't. He's just trying to make sure he doesn't get rusty. Everyone who is here from my home can transform into one thing or another. Three of them are on the field now. Dion is the dragon, Barnabas is the knight, and Sleipnir is the horse.

Yeah. They have a, uh, pretty intense relationship. I don’t really know how to define it. Don’t know too much about it. Just some from the horse’s perspective.

I mean. He is the horse. His name is Sleipnir. He’s not always a horse. Just sometimes.

He most certainly is. He’s eccentric and more than a little odd, but I am starting to become fond of him. He’s fun, intelligent, and extremely observant.

Does it? Hmm. I suppose I might say something similar about Torgal... I don't think I'm going to be able to dig myself out of this hole. Everything else I'm coming up with can still be used to describe a dog. Trouble maker, feisty. Oh! Got one. Mysterious.

Don't worry about it. You were worried. I get it. It's nice to meet you too, Jayce. Hopefully, the next time we talk it won't be about giant beings potentially destroying your lab.

I have a feeling that if any sort of giant dragon or horse destroys a building, asking Aurora is going to be the only way to repair it, unless you're holding out on the power to transform into a giant excavator.

I have no idea what an excavator is but I’m certain I can’t transform into one. Is there nothing you would want to try and salvage?

That's the thing about a forge that's the size of mine. The gearwork on the inside is surprisingly delicate. If more than one gets damaged, then it's more dangerous to keep it as is and try to fix it than just ask Aurora to repair it from the ground up. The iron-y of a smithy.

[Clive opens his mouth to respond when the end of Jayce's sentence really hits him. He coughs out a laugh and covers his mouth, shoulders shaking slightly.]
