un: CliveRosfield | Video - Backdated to 7/5, late morning
[The video turns on to show Clive outdoors. He seems to be walking rather quickly as he speaks so the video is a little shaky.]
Forgive me if the quality of this video is not great. It’s my first time doing this, but I have a message for the community.
At midday, there will be a battle in the Ochreward area. This is a planned event and there is nothing to be alarmed of. You will likely see and hear two giant creatures fighting. One will be a dragon and the other a dark knight upon his steed. Please say well clear of the area. While this is just a spar for them, it can very quickly become deadly for anyone who is too close or tries to intervene.
If the dragon sees you and can, he’ll likely do what he can to avoid hitting you. The knight will not. Don’t take the risk.
I repeat: do not approach the area. It will be unsafe for you. This isn’t a fun event to come gawk at. This is two highly skilled warriors testing their mettle against one another.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know, and I will do my best to help you. I will be near the area where the spar is happening in an effort to prevent anyone from interrupting if the request needs to be made in person, but it would be safer if you asked here instead.
[ooc: You can find the log here.]

Clive focuses solely on Sleipnir, the sound of the distant battle but on the backburner, there if a sudden response was needed, but not necessary. No, his focus was on Sleipnir now. He nodded as he listened.]
Breathing my own blood is one of the worst experiences I've had on the battlefield. I can't even imagine what it would be like to fully drown that way. I'm sorry.
[And he truly does bear sorrow for the man. How many times has Sleipnir had to suffer through this pain? How many times has he thrown himself into it merely because he doesn't permanently die?]
What does it feel like when you come back? How can you tell when Barnabas is near? Does he pull you out himself or do you come back on your own?
[Clive coughs, the tips of his ears turning a little pink.]
Sorry, too many questions at once.

But the rapid fire of questions brings back a small smile. ]
I enjoy curiosity and I do encourage it.
[ Sleipnir sees those little ears of yours, Lord Rosfield. ]
I come back on my own as if my liege has left a door open for me. It feels like... how to explain... When you first wake up- it's before you open your eyes, but you feel them. [ he places his hand on his chest ] You know the someone laying next to you is there even before you reach out.
Like that, but instead of reaching I am stepping. Do you understand?

He thinks back on the few times he has shared space with another in rest and nods.]
I understand. So you know he is nearby and are able to come back and meet him no matter where he is or where you died?
Oh shit Sleipnir, he's on to you.
Just so.
My [ that light waivers a touch ] being is drawn back to him once I pass.
[ He almost said 'soul', but egi do not have those. ]

Do you know if he feels it when you die? Like, a broken connection or a thread pulled to taught so it snaps maybe.
[If Sleipnir doesn't know, then Clive is relatively certain he won't ever know either. Barnabas was a steel trap and getting anything out of him would practically require torture.]
