[ Sometime after the fog clears, a video appears on the network showing the charred, smoking wreck of what used to be Hannibal Lecter's house. Gustave, looking tired and worn down, is visible on screen, and beyond him Gorgug Thistlespring can be seen poking through the ruins. ]

Hi, everyone.

During the fog, Gorgug, Vincent Valentine, and I came into contact with a large, hostile creature. I'm not certain of its species or origin, but it seemed to be a little over two meters in height with a large, elongated skull and barbed tail.

Sometime during our run-in with it, Vincent somehow... transformed into it? He engaged it in a fight while Gorgug and I — well —

[ He gestures back at the smoldering remains of what had once been a beautiful, if disturbing, residence. ]

— But we lost track of Vincent himself in the chaos. The last time we saw him, he was still in the shape of the creature, and he is currently not responding to attempts to contact him over the network.

Gorgug and I are going out to look for him, and we could use all the help we can get. For everyone else, please be cautious if you find him while he's still in the creature's form. He may be dangerous to others, or even to himself. Thanks.

Yeah, we're okay. I don't know if Vincent managed to keep his mind after he transformed, but he kept the creature away from us, either by accident or on purpose.

We came back to see if maybe he'd returned to the house, but there's nothing here.

One that couldn't track anything with any kind of reliability through the fog. Maybe you had better luck.

We have a better chance now that it's cleared.

Which is why we need to find him before he accidentally hurts someone, or someone hurts him.

I'm fine, Sophie. I think Gorgug is, too, but he can give you the specifics himself.

You may, provided you stay with at least one other person the whole time.

And watch out for that tail, it's got more of a reach than you might expect.

[Maelle is trying to be very casual about this despite feeling her anxiety spike.]

What do we do if we find him and he's still that thing?

Well, I'd rather not blow up a house around him again.

We'll have to try to restrain him. Barring that, neutralize him somehow, so he's not a danger to himself or others, and then... try to find a way to turn him back, if we can.

[ He swallows his kneejerk reaction to say no, I will, and just nods. ]

Well. I guess that could have turned out worse? At least he shouldn't be difficult to spot, now that the fog's receding.

[ It's not really pertinent, but call her curious. ] How'd the house burn down?

Yeah. Could be better, too.

[ Her weariness is reflected back at her in his voice, though the faint crooked smile that tugs at his mouth is audible, too. ]

I rigged an explosion with flour. Blew out most of the lower part of the house and the rest, well.

But it worked. The first creature never made it out.

Well, someone, anyway. If the hospital here can fix people up from near-death, maybe it can help Vincent turn back into himself.

Or if someone could get into his head... but Sophie's out of commission for now.
