Hello, citizens of Etraya.

Our next mission will begin on Friday, November 15th. This mission will take place within a country called Auriel, and will last for approximately five weeks. Your mission parameters are to find the Lost Vestiges that have been left within Auriel and give them my token, so that I may retrieve them when I return for all of you. In addition to this, you are to display cultural understanding of those who live within Auriel.

Auriel is a country populated by people commonly known as the Fae. They have five Courts, each representing their own community within their country. In addition, each Court has their own boons and flaws. During your time here, you will take on these boons, and flaws, and in addition, will be given a Glamour to allow you to blend in amongst them. You will receive a briefing dossier on the laws of the Fae, in addition to their customs.

Please be careful about revealing your identities. The Fae are extremely prejudiced against outsiders, and I will not be able to gather you any sooner than December 12th. If anything happens before then, I will not be able to help you.

Thank you,
Aurora

I have a question. We're being send to a land of the Fae, yes? Thank you for providing a dossier, but what can you really tell us about this place? Do the Courts have monarchs that we can interact with or should we attempt to avoid them as much as possible?

( this little guy right here asking the important questions. )

[Sunday has so many questions about all this. After spending roughly ten minutes sorting through his thoughts, he picks out the question he decides is the most important.]

What if we do reveal our identities through no fault of our own? What should we expect?

A prompt execution? Prison sentence? Or...?

Ugh, not the Fae.

[ A disgusted sounding sigh. ]

Those dossiers had better include details on the Courts themselves, not just rules overall.

I don't you'll know which Court each of us will join? How we're to blend in...

[ She's not upset with Aurora, she's upset at the AIR AROUND Aurora. Rescue missions in Fae territory are definitely not on the top of her list of things to do with her time. ]

We are dealing with the Fae, yes? Then humor me-are we returning with our years and recollections intact, or should I start drafting contingency plans for premature senility?

[Audible sigh.]

Naturally.

Worst case scenario, then.

I don't doubt that. The Monarchs of the Seelie and Unseelie Courts of the Feywild are much more powerful than even the archfey running around.

Would my heritage be a problem with these people? I need to know for the safety of myself and my twin brother.

That's it?

Not the worst fate imaginable, really.

I thought you'd tell me we'd be trapped in some sort of eternal purgatory for their amusement.

You're aware that that both does and doesn't answer my question, yes?

But, I suppose an undercover mission should be interesting. It's been a while.

Is there a way to obtain information on these misplaced individuals, or has your counterpart conveniently forgotten to name them?

What?

How?

One piece? How marvelously imprecise. I’ve seen corpses meet that standard. Forgive me, but the Fae are rather fond of technicalities-sending one home whole, yet missing something inconvenient like fifty years or a functioning mind. So, for the sake of clarity, does your promise include my memory and chronology, or should I prepare to wake pleasantly lobotomized in another century?
