Humans, or homo sapiens, are undergoing a slow evolution in my world. Some of us are born with a developed gene that gives us abilities or manifests different physical attributes. Those of us with that gene are called mutants, or homo superior. We prefer to be called mutant, because that is what we are, and it is important to identify and defend our identity in the grand scheme of things. However, I do know that there are people of other planets and dimsnsions who would refer to us all as human or earthling or Terran anyway.
Do you suspect that the selection bias means anything specific? Have you experienced anything that would make you feel.. unwelcome? I hope that isn't so, but if you do - perhaps we can approach Aurora about it.
