so is pass and fail just a judgment on our performance, or do we reckon it's gonna come back and bite us in the ass in the future?
aurora said she missed us, by the way. ( those are not the words she used. ) she also said that she and eos are free to run their cities in whatever way works for the people under her care, as long as we're well-taken care of.
but, thing is, she gets to define that. says she gets to learn from her actions and inactions in relation to us.
which is something to keep in mind when we're acting as a group or not acting as a group and trying to get answers, or choosing which rules are okay to break and which rules are okay to stretch.
because between here and moorecroft, right now i'd say we've got the better end of the deal.

no subject
( it was terrible and he is not over it. )
i'm also cognizant that she can see everything we share with each other.
( not that he's quite at the point where he's going to pretend he holds an opinion he doesn't for the sake of public appearances — he's been very vocal about his thoughts and feelings, and that's unlikely to change, but he's not quite dumb enough to put it in quite the same way as he would if this wasn't public.
at least, not for the moment. )
she could be, but i think it all goes back to semantics and definitions. what we define as not harming us could be very different to what she or echo does, and we're not gonna know what that is until we're all in that position.
and, as i said to her, it's not like humanity's particularly known for its ability to make great decisions about its own well-being, so i wouldn't put it past someone to make a decision about us in our "best interests" based off the fact that we're pretty damned dumb, actually.
also, i'm not much of a tech guy, but the problem with programming is that it can be changed, right? so there's that.
