[Her hair is in two messy twin braids. Her eyes are glassy. The sharp-eyed might notice she's probably, definitely drunk. The less-so might just assume she's overly tired. Her tongue presses into her cheek as she considers how to start this one, but in the end she just rips the bandaid off quickly: ]

So, tell me, how is it that you handle grief?

[She probably won't be elaborating on why she's asking, unless she has a certain level of familiarity with you, but you can try. People closest to her probably already know what this is really about: Her sister is gone. From Moorecroft. From Etraya. From the top side of the dirt. Gone and back to dead, and Yelena is spiraling.]

[Nuvia nodded, her expression softening as she listened to Yelena’s words. She could see the pain behind Yelena’s eyes, a pain that resonated deeply with her own understanding of loss. Grief was a complex, often isolating emotion, and Nuvia knew that everyone dealt with it in their own way.]

I understand. Losing someone, especially when you don't have many people to begin with, can feel like the hardest thing to go through. It’s like a piece of your world is missing, and there’s no way to fill that space again.

[She paused, thinking carefully before continuing.]

I just wanted to offer a suggestion, so you don’t feel alone in all of this. Sometimes, even just talking about the person you've lost can help, even if it’s just a little bit. But, of course, you should do what feels right for you. Everyone grieves in their own way, and that’s okay.

[Nuvia gave Yelena a small, supportive smile.]

I really hope you find a way to cope that brings you some peace. Grief can be such a heavy burden to carry on your own.
