Hello. This is Castiel.
I'm looking for any information that can be provided on Aurora, Etraya, and Echo. I'm particularly interested in the latter.
I'm certain anyone who's made attempts at gathering information about this place and those who've brought us here will have noticed there's no library.
[ calling it suspicious would be redundant, so he doesn't. ]

I also thought that was strange.
[a pause. then:]
Is there anything stopping us from keeping our own records?
[an actual block, magical or otherwise? she hasn't felt anything, but.]

But if there were something stopping us, I imagine we wouldn't be able to share information over this network, either. Doesn't it record all the information we give it?

ppl take their own notes. i personally like 2 barter 4 my information but i can give u some of the basics 4 free since im feeling awfully nice :)
anything specific u wanna know?

[ it takes him a moment for him to understand what he's reading. ]
Thank you.
I would like to know everything you know about Echo.

echo is a tricky bastard
as u probably know aurora isnt the real boss. echo is. theyre the one who evaluates all our bullshit teammwork challenges. they design this shit like its cartoons for middle schoolers i s2g
we have multiple ppl from my world with diff relationships w/ death and the timeline. i dont think echo has any power over death bc all this bs would be moot otherwise. they do have some power over time though. probably just another dimension 2 them due 2 their ~~omnipotence~~
no subject
They've raised people from the dead, though.
It is just another dimension. Even I can move through time, under normal circumstances. But they must be more powerful than me, or they wouldn't be able to contain me here.
no subject
have they? ive seen them take people from the point of death and heal em up. that seems different. and i dont think death here counts when we are in their playground
oh yeah what kind of time travel can u do? spill. u owe me buster
no subject
A God would have that power.
Do I?
Fine. I'm capable of displacing my body through spacetime. You might consider that traveling through space requires... direct movement along a linear path, while traveling through time requires lateral movement off of that path. You follow the path because it's all you can see, but I see where time and space meet.
Going off the "path" requires a great amount of energy, though. It isn't easy.

If you want a library you could ask Aurora about that. We've got a bookstore, but a library's not a bad idea.
no subject
I want information. A library would be useless if she's unwilling to provide that much.
no subject
Have you asked her?
no subject
No.

Then you should try.

I do not trust Aurora or Echo, but it would likewise be remiss to err too far on the side of assuming hostility. If Etraya is indeed a newly created universe, there may not be manuscripts pertaining to it. Knowing something and creating an informational or instructional guide on that thing are two different skill sets.
no subject
Maybe.
But the more I ask, the more it seems like no one here knows anything. It's not a good sign, even if it's not intentional obfuscation.
no subject
It's a very bad sign, but not necessarily one of malice. It may be incompetence. Or that they have less control over Etraya than they're claiming.
I don't teleport people into rivers. I'd expect beings as powerful as Aurora and Echo claim to be to not make mistakes that well-educated human mages could avoid. It's somewhat concerning. If they don't have or have lost control of their teleportation, how much can we trust about the integrity of any other created aspect of this place?
no subject
When were people being teleported into rivers?
[ he agrees with essentially everything linhardt has had to say so far, but saying so would just be redundant, wouldn't it? ]
no subject
Some of us upon arrival were teleported from the spaceship into (or above) a river. It's sheer luck that nobody died of shock - that we know of. I almost lost all of my notes.
[ Unlike Castiel, Linhardt can't teleport himself. So into the river it had been. At least he'd saved his bag. ]
