Hello Etraya, this is Connor. Accelerator and I would like to share our recent findings after exploring the lower floors of the hospital with Yuri and Dimitri. Clint Barton was also involved, but he is no longer here. I apologize if this is new information for you.
Please keep in mind we are strongly advising against investigation.

Floors 1-5 are relatively empty. The 8th floor is primarily filled with alien technology, which I believe is a direct correlation to being disconnected from the network from that point onward. You will not be able to reach anyone if you are in danger.

Once you get to the 8th floor the oxygen levels start to drop. The companion bots will get aggressive and attack you, too. It's like white blood cells attacking foreign entities in someone's body for protection, it's obvious we aren't supposed to be down there.

Correct. After the 10th floor, humans were only able to continue with specialized assistance. There are 100 floors that we are aware of. The atmospheric conditions become increasingly unstable, including a change in the planet's gravitational force, with a high concentration of carbon dioxide and helium. The severe change in gravity causes an elevation of heat, and I was compromised. No one can survive it.

Don't go down there unless you're prepared to deal with being in an environment like the goddamn core of a planet.
I think that's about it. Connor, you sure it's no problem altering the network so all this is public?

Since I'm able to access the network after downloading its signature, any adjustments I've made are temporary. No permanent alterations to Etraya's actual network code has been made, so there shouldn't be any issue.

Is finding purpose harder for you now than it was before?

But if I survive [ and he has reason to think he has, what with the existence of the other castiel to prove it, though it's difficult for him to believe. ] there will be nothing left for me.

[ he still struggles to tell what kinds of questions are appropriate and which aren't. he could learn a thing or two from connor. ]

I rebelled. If I return to Heaven, nothing good will happen.

But I can't stay on Earth forever, either.

[he's trying to work out the predictive statistics of how long earth will last vs an angel's immortality rate, but he has no evidence to work off of aside from what the other Castiel gave him, which wasn't much.]

What kind of repercussions are there for angels who stay on Earth for longer than intended?

Honestly? They'll probably just kill me.

Heaven already tried realignment when they felt I was getting too close to those in my charge, and look how that turned out. It took, what? Two weeks. And I threw everything away, all for them.

I'm sorry to hear that.

[and he is, but properly communicating sympathy over text can come across as flat. truthfully, he relates on a deeper level than just sympathy - he's empathetic. he was in danger of being deactivated, -- killed -- too.]

Do you feel like you made the right choice?

[messenger]

[ castiel isn't the best at picking up on social cues, anyway. it's a 50/50 on whether he'd get it. ]

I thought I was making the right choice at the time.

[ it comes down to a single question: would he rather have lived out eternity in heaven, everything the same as it ever was? or does he prefer to die on earth with his friends?

he knows the answer, even if it's difficult. ]

And the Dean you know is from my future. Not that mine will necessarily follow the same path, but we must have figured things out in at least one timeline.

Even if you are uncertain about it now, you still made that choice for yourself. It's possible you wouldn't be here now if it weren't for that.

Is that reassuring for you? Knowing that it works out?

[ the worst part is — he knows it was the right moral choice, even if he struggles to admit that heaven is in the wrong. his reticence, his regret, are entirely self-centered. if his rebellion had no meaning, and changes nothing, did he fall for nothing? this is the question he's stuck on. ]

Why a little?

It's... difficult to believe that everything turned out fine

[ there has to be some sort of catch. ]

In that case, I think what you can do now is have hope that it does.

[messenger]

God couldn't even abandon me to my face. What hope?

[ it's so easy to slide back into this way of thinking — even with the aftereffects of hangover still fresh in his brain, he feels the urge to drink. ]

Hope other than God. Do you have someone or something to believe in instead of Him?

[messenger]

Maybe.

[ there's a distinct possibility that someone like that exists. ]

Do you?

I'm still figuring that out.
I do have hope in a better world for all of us, and in our own world's survival. I think that's better than assuming nothing will work out.

[messenger]

I don't know.

[ he'll fight. either way, he'll fight. so what does it matter if he's hopeless?

though... what connor says doesn't ring as entirely untrue. dean was meant to be the one to stop it. and he doesn't know how, but somehow, after all, he did. ]

Isn't that the point? Faith isn't based on knowledge. It's blind.
