[Loki is dressed impeccably, if casually (at least for him) in a black, button up shirt, undone at the collar, his hair tidy and brushed back from his face. He looks confident and relaxed, though anyone who knows him might note a smidge of nervousness.]

I was hoping someone here might know of a restaurant that is not either the diner or the pub. They are both fine establishments, but I was looking for something a little more upscale and intimate for a special occasion. Any chance one of you might know of such a place? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, well, it is my birthday and almost Yule. I enjoy both but not had the occasion to celebrate either in quite some time. When I considered this, it occurred to me I wouldn’t mind celebrating with you.

I must admit though, a few have pointed out to me that this sounds quite a lot like… well, like a date. We do not need to consider it as such, if that is not what you wish, but I would still quite like to spend the evening with you.

[When Loki originally had this idea, he had not thought it was going to end up this awkward. He just finds more and more that he enjoys the time he spends with Hob and would like to do it more.

He smiles almost shyly at Hob’s response. It’s a rare look on Loki.]

I admit my only goal when I thought of this was to spend my birthday with someone I very much enjoy spending time with. However, when others pointed out the date-like quality to me, I have to admit I liked the idea very much.

So, I suppose I would like to formally ask you out for dinner on the 17th. If you are so inclined.
