[ This is Will Graham we're talking about. This is going to be short and to the point. ]

It would appear that Dr. Lecter is no longer a resident of this reality. [ Will's voice is perfectly neutral, giving no indication as to how he feels about these events. There is so much Will would like to say, but he hasn't entirely lost hope that Hannibal might yet find his way back. As such, he is not inclined to speak to the good doctor's ... activities. At least, not over an open network. ]

If you were utilizing his professional services, I shall do you the favor and not offer to continue his practice.

Though I shall be remaining in what has been his home.

[ Well ... okay, one vague comment. ]

For anyone wondering; In addition to not offering psychiatric services, I also do not host dinner parties.

[ So that can happen, huh? Well, that's fascinating.

[ Will is still trying to decide how he feels about texting. It does support his naturally unsociable nature, but definitely not something he grew up with, or adopted early enough to be comfortable with it.

But. When in Rome. ]

That is a very long, complicated story, that I am not interested in discussing. I will simply say that Hannibal and I came from the same reality and knew each other in that reality.

He was my psychiatrist.

[ Not technically a lie.

While he'd grown to understand the complicated emotions that were involved in sculpting Hannibal's particular, dietary habits, Will's 'Becoming' was more about the artistry involved in punishing the wicked.

For the most part Will had not knowingly ingested human flesh, except for the whole Randall Tier situation. That, however, had been a strategic move in the complicated web he and Jack Crawford had been trying to spin in order to entrap Hannibal. It had been transforming Tier into his greatest desire -an animal- that had fueled Will's emotional response. ]

[ Kind of unfortunate, but that is because he still had more questions for Hannibal about his morality and how he views himself; he felt like he was on the path of understanding something about the criteria that they are judged.

Oh well. It was an enjoyable thought experiment, anyway.

Still, is this the truth? He wonders. ]

That's quite a relief. [ Vincent says instead. ] Though, I guess I didn't expect you to admit it if it were true. [ A smile dances around his words. ] Don't worry, though, I do believe you.

You cannot imagine the peaceful sleep I will enjoy hearing that you believe me.

[ Will doesn't raise his voice, or really changes his tone exactly, but the sass is clear all the same.

Does he also see the hook dangling in the bait Vincent threw out with 'admit it if it were true'? Having baited a few hooks that way himself, Will knows the only safe response is to pretend the words were never spoken. ]

[Sorry Will, Accelerator is a teen and therefore always going to default to text.

Hannibal being anyone's psychiatrist automatically means that relationship can be labelled complicated, so Will calling it that makes sense. Still....]

Even if he was you must've had more than just a professional relationship if you're willing to take over his home.

[So he's guessing it's not just complicated, it's really complicated. Especially if he's mentioning dinner parties.]

That place is probably better off being razed to the ground.

[ It will now be his turn to apologize, because Will isn't going to respond to the first statement Accelerator makes. The teen isn't wrong by any stretch of the imagination, but no way in hell is Will discussing this on an open network. ]

Though I understand the sentiment [ He recalls that the house in Baltimore, that this one is based upon, was leveled to the ground after the investigation was concluded ] I would appreciate it if you refrained from any such actions.

I'm sure you will.

[ Anyway, there's no knowing for certain. He had more or less pinned down the reason Hannibal chose Samil. But he doesn't know if this person is someone to worry about; he's just an average person in the end so -- best make nice. ]

I'm sorry to be the first person to ask, by the way. I'm not sure if others will be, but that wasn't the nicest thing I could say.

[ Will does not know Vincent and Hannibal never spoke about the man, he has no reason to be prickly in Vincent's direction. Civility is the right play at the moment, especially in the face of an apology; sincere or not. Will can play nice, but he isn't feeling particularly trusting of this individual. ]

I appreciate the apology, and I understand the place from whence the question originated. [ Sorry Vincent, years of dealing with Hannibal has made it impossible for Will not to use twenty words, when six would do. ]

Dr. Lecter is ... was, a very complicated individual to know.

I appreciate your understanding.

[ All right. That's enough of hanging on that apology, anyway! ]

I presume so. I'm not sure if anyone came to fully understand him, and I do sincerely worry that made him lonely.

[That Will doesn't address part of his message doesn't bother him, the silence is answer enough.]

I'm not about to, but there might be some other people here who'd be willing to do it.

[ Ah, yeah, she'd... heard about that. As a 'monster' that's supposed to eat people and never has, she's

glad she ended up skipping that particular party. Who knows what it might have done to her? ]

You sure you'll be okay moving into his house though? Just, y'know, the associations and stuff might be. Difficult.

Another person has left? I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him. He was a friend of yours?

[ he has no idea. ]

[ Will can't help smirking at 'pleasure of meeting him', but he won't correct the stranger. ]

We came from the same reality. He was my psychiatrist.

[ He's going to stick to that line, for the time being. ]

I have only recently arrived myself, but had heard that people sometimes left. I will admit to being a little taken aback that he and I were only here at the same time for a little less than six weeks.

[ And he wonders if, in the wake of the dinner party, Echo had decided to swap one of them for the other. But he has no evidence to support that speculation, so he keeps it to himself. ]

It will be going into his bedroom, and the door to that room shall remain closed.

[ He doesn't disagree with the opinion of that painting, in fact there are a few items that are going to be stored in Hannibal's bedroom. But he can't say he isn't holding on to a small hope that Hannibal might return some day. If that happens, Will doesn't want to have to explain what happened to the older man's precious works of art.]

[ Oh, she has no idea about the depth of associations he has with this house. But he expects she means other peoples' associations. ]

I wouldn't expect anything less. But I'm not much for having people over to socialize, so it will suit my needs.

[ So long as no one tries to burn it down around him. ]

[ Vincent's comments cause Will's eyebrows to lift. They are insightful, in a way Hannibal usually went to great lengths to mask from the general public.

The general public, which suggests that this man is a monster. Predators know predators, and monsters can see through the veil of other monsters. Will himself, Tobias Budge, Mason Verger ... it was a long list. ]

It sounds as if you and Dr. Lecter knew each other well. I must apologize, but I am not aware of hearing him mention his friends here. With whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?

Thank you for the warning. I shall endeavor to keep my head down, but my eyes open.

Friends? No, I don't think that we were friends or knew each other as well as I hoped.

[ A real pity that, but what can he do? ]

Do you feel like you knew Dr. Lecter well?

[ A pause and the feeling of a warm smile. ] Sorry. My name. It's Vincent. Father Vincent. Regardless of where I am, I am still a priest. And... you are?

[ In Will's opinion this Father Vincent dodged a bullet by 'not knowing Hannibal' as well as he would have liked. If there was anything more complicated than being Hannibal's enemy, it was being an intimate friend.

Also insert whistle here. A priest? Yeah, that would be a loaded sort or relationship with a man of Hannibal's beliefs. ]

I would not presume such a thing. [ Which, is a bit of a non-answer actually. But Will is on alert and choosing his words carefully. ] But he was my psychiatrist for the past three years.

Will Graham. I appreciate the introduction; Father.

Before things got out, I did hear glowing reports about him from others. So I can hopefully assume he was a good doctor to you.

[ If not... how fascinating. ]

Pleasure, Mister Graham. Unless you'd be fine with me calling you 'Will.'

I'm not trying to be nosey or anything, so feel free to ignore this but...

why are you moving into his house anyways? You know what he did here right? To some of us?

I'd moved in before he left, and I do not wish to go back to the apartments.

[ Will briefly considers explaining some of his history with Hannibal, his intimate awareness of what Hannibal is capable of doing. His hand brushes across his lower abdomen, before he responds. ]

I am aware. Dr. Lecter has been my psychiatrist for three years back in our reality. I am painfully aware of his capacity for the unspeakable. But I am not him, nor am I his keeper or in any way responsible for him.

I do recognize the fact that many of you have been deprived of the opportunity for an appropriate reckoning with Dr. Lecter. All I can offer is that you have joined and very, very large club of individuals with similarly frustrated desires for retribution.
