UN: MONGOOSE | VOICE
[ This is Will Graham we're talking about. This is going to be short and to the point. ]
It would appear that Dr. Lecter is no longer a resident of this reality. [ Will's voice is perfectly neutral, giving no indication as to how he feels about these events. There is so much Will would like to say, but he hasn't entirely lost hope that Hannibal might yet find his way back. As such, he is not inclined to speak to the good doctor's ... activities. At least, not over an open network. ]
If you were utilizing his professional services, I shall do you the favor and not offer to continue his practice.
Though I shall be remaining in what has been his home.
[ Well ... okay, one vague comment. ]
For anyone wondering; In addition to not offering psychiatric services, I also do not host dinner parties.

The general public, which suggests that this man is a monster. Predators know predators, and monsters can see through the veil of other monsters. Will himself, Tobias Budge, Mason Verger ... it was a long list. ]
It sounds as if you and Dr. Lecter knew each other well. I must apologize, but I am not aware of hearing him mention his friends here. With whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?
no subject
[ A real pity that, but what can he do? ]
Do you feel like you knew Dr. Lecter well?
[ A pause and the feeling of a warm smile. ] Sorry. My name. It's Vincent. Father Vincent. Regardless of where I am, I am still a priest. And... you are?
no subject
Also insert whistle here. A priest? Yeah, that would be a loaded sort or relationship with a man of Hannibal's beliefs. ]
I would not presume such a thing. [ Which, is a bit of a non-answer actually. But Will is on alert and choosing his words carefully. ] But he was my psychiatrist for the past three years.
Will Graham. I appreciate the introduction; Father.

[ If not... how fascinating. ]
Pleasure, Mister Graham. Unless you'd be fine with me calling you 'Will.'
no subject
You may call me Will.

I understand, at least, that you feel close enough to want to preserve his home. I hope you don't feel as though we're trampling too much on those feelings. [ A warm smile wraps itself around his words as comfortably as hands around the neck. ] It may be my own philosophy as a priest, but it isn't up to me to judge him.
So, you also don't need to feel judged in anything with me, all right?
no subject
Again. I shall sleep most peacefully knowing that I am not being judged by you.
As for the opinions and comments of others. I take nothing personal from their frustrations. They have every right in the world to rail against the lost opportunity at balancing the scales.
no subject
[ ANYWAY! ]
Do you think it's balancing the scales? What would that even look like?

The 'forgiveness', the 'I'm here to support you', everything designed to help Will feel safe unburdening himself. Unfortunately the man was using classic interrogation techniques against a man who taught those very techniques to baby feebs. ]
It is not my place to speculate on such matters. That would be between Dr. Lecter and those who have a grievance against him.
no subject
Well, if any of them both you, at least know you have someone who will defend you a little bit. [ A beat. ] I won't say I don't have my own reasons for doing so for a stranger, but ... we'll leave at that for now, hm?
no subject
It always comes at a price. ]
Now. If there is nothing else, I will let you get back to your business.
[ Hey. This is progress believe it or not. Usually he just hangs up the phone. ]
no subject
[ Hm. ]
Take care of yourself, Will.

[ How many monsters had Echo dragged into this little experiment??? Will was starting to feel like he needed to start a bingo card. ]
