[ ooc: a bit of a late post— ivan received a cat from his christmas egg. it gradually becomes more of a gremlin/demon the longer he hasn't sung to it, but other than that, it does not have normal needs (i.e. food, water, or any other direct care). he does not know this. this is also his first time handling a cat. in his canon, humans are kept as pets ("human-pets"), so this is kind of a lot in multiple ways.

it may remind etraya's residents of someone they may know (till). ]

It seems uninterested in food. Maybe it’s rebelling?

Yeah... Cats tend to do that, too.

They're just, like, aggressively independent.
It's a little easier when you get them as kittens. Helps to be around them as they're growing up so they can get used to you.

When its claws aren’t on that post, they’re tearing up things or dug into my skin. So I would prefer it does.

Maybe try trimming its nails
Or tiring it out with exercise

If I have to touch it for either of those things, it’s probably out of the question until I can figure out what’s it’s angry about. Usually when people are mad at me, they leave. This doesn’t want to, but it doesn’t want me to hold it, either.

they seem a lil nicer if you give em food.... but i see he's not into that from that thread up there...

maybe they got books on cats?
or you can give it to someone else maybe... the cat i knew just lived outside n didnt have an owner actually. whole village just took care of em. he was fat n happy

I tried the library. It seems cats aren’t usually born from eggs, so I don’t know if the information in the books I found apply. I like your idea about giving it to someone else, though. It would be fun to see two of them in the same room.
