There is Gaia, sitting on one of the trolley cars. Behind her, mostly in frame, is Cidolfus Telemon. He probably looks okay. But Gaia's words suggest he's not. ]

I hope this is right. I'm on the blue line trolley between... the Farway stop and the next island. A man named Cid just jumped on after burning his aether to a life threatening level. Because he missed it while picking up something at a place called the Kwik Stop.

I don't have healing spells, so I'd appreciate anyone that can catch up to the trolley who might come and look him over. It's not exactly fast.

Why is it a waste? The dead far outnumber the living. Think of the army you could have if you animated a whole graveyard.

I've no need for armies. And my world has been through enough without dealing with what such an effort would do.

[ There's also a lot to be said about the disposition of bodies in general and whether or not they'd have left them around to be buried. Or whether there was a body left at all given many died to and became sin eaters. But Gaia doesn't see a need to elaborate on these basic facts. ]
