Is anyone going to explain who the hell dropped in Xavier's Institute but forgot to bring along - what, literally any mutant?

Oh. But then, what is a mutant institute? If it isn't a research institute.

A school. Obviously?

To teach them...to read?

Read, write, fight, defend oneself. You know, all the important crap. And the boring shit needed to pass the SATs.

I understand the rest, but. What are SATs?

Stupid tests kids have to take at the end of the year to prove they're learning.

Oh. And only mutant kids can learn there?

No one's learning there now, all the teachers are gone.

[Hm.] If there aren't any teachers, maybe you can use it as a home instead.

Well, duh. It was a boarding school.

...What is a boarding school?

A school kids live at while they're attending.
