You called us anathema, clarifying yours. You can ask the question without that. You had to know how that'd make us feel, and you didn't care.

The Mechanicus barely tolerate them, and they were even less human. Normal mortals felt a sense of deep revulsion being in the same room with Gadriel's kind. It did not matter. He was a bulwark of the Empire. He knew his duty.]

Your friend is going to attempt to kill me, because I hate mutants.[He wanted to clarify 'from his world' because he knows about the dangers of the Warp and corruption that mutants are susceptible to, but this needs to be kept clean for clarity's sake]
And this is supposed to make me...like mutants?

[ Ordinarily, this is where Jay would explain that Julian is only being his pigheaded self who thinks that fighting - or really, anything that involves winning - is a way to solve things. But he's not going to give a negative interpretation of his friend to Gadriel, not now. ]

It's not supposed to make you like us, though. I don't think there's anything that can make someone who hates mutants like us, and it's not our responsibility to hold your hand through accepting mutants.

[This is circular, again. He has told them that it was his world and that theirs was different. That was why he had asked for clarification in the first place.

[They were not hearing him, or they were so blinded by their own bias that they could not. They wanted him to hate them? He could. It would not take much. They have given him no reason to do otherwise. ]
