PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello Etraya, a few of the newest arrivals are originally from wherever we told you we're from, but before coming here we were in Etraya's sister city, Solmara. Solmara has overthrown their AI and is ruled by a woman named Alrys. She sent us here on a recon mission to steal supplies, and while some of us were considering it, upon arrival we decided not to.

I can't speak for the others, but I know for a fact if Alrys got wind of what this place is like, she'd start a war. I'm not interested, not because I'm kind and noble (I'm not) but because making two whole cities miserable would be stupid.

Aurora has been informed of everything, but in the interest of transparency I'm letting the rest of you know too.

We will be answering questions but only if they're not stupid and you're super nice about it. Keep in mind we're probably gonna get tortured then killed then tortured again for snitching. 😃❤️🥳👍🚀🦈

PS: Any magical healers out there?

Theoretically, but resurrection is up to the AI and the local one has no reason to believe we're worth bringing back.

Look, I am disinterested in the moral ramification of whatever it is you have done, or did not do. That you came here to steal from us to survive only makes sense. I would do no different if the situation is as you claim it to be. I am trying to understand the reality of what you speculated about your absence and her presuming you having died.

Did she send you here with the expectation that if you were discovered and executed you would not resurrect over there? If she did not, then it may engender suspicions of defection.

That's the thing, she didn't explain much. I'm coming to the sudden realization my lack of questioning it is entirely out of character of me, so I'm wondering if I was mindfucked somehow.

Then it is something we should account for.

It is possible that your mind was influenced or altered in some way. After all, I would say we are all influenced by this domain and the creator of it. We are but playthings, and if she has likewise garnered control over an aspect of that power, then she might have made subtle puppets of you and the others.
