Cold water, soap, scrubbing. Easier when it's fresh.

That's it? Any kind of soap in particular?

Some of it is, I guess. Some of it might be a few days old.

Whatever soap that's powerful. We'd use dish soap if we had it, but usually just whatever bar of soap was on hand. The fancy kind usually doesn't get as far.

Is it possible to sew up rips in a jean jacket?

Depends on how good your sewing is and how ragged the rips are. You can always put a patch over it.

Is that easier or harder than sewing the tear itself?
