etraya | un: aurora

Hello, citizens of Etraya.

Our next mission will begin on Friday, May 16th. For this mission, we will not be heading off world as the last couple missions have required. Instead, the companion bots and I will be working over the next seven days to set up Camp Etraya on Ochreward for all of you to attend. This camp will include multiple activities which will be mandatory for you to participate in. Additionally, while I will not be creating a barrier between camp and the rest of Etraya, the expectation will be for all of you to remain within the camp's radius during your time at Camp Etraya.

However, I understand that some of you have come from Solmara, and there is some concern regarding my sibling's absence within our sister city. I too am concerned for their well-being, as well as the rest of the citizens of Solmara. I would like to shift some of my resources to send a team to Solmara to address this, but this is not in an official mission capacity. This is not required, and will be on a volunteer-only basis. I will only be able to allocate enough resources to support transporting fifteen individuals to Solmara. I can provide some basic necessities to assist you in your trip, but will not be able to provide much more in terms of support. You will be on your own as soon as you arrive within Solmara. You will need to rely on one another, and you will need to return with enough time to fulfill five days worth of camp activities to ensure you are not avoiding mandatory mission requirements. If you are unable to return on time, there will be repercussions.

Please inform me if you wish to assist the Solmarans here. If there are more than fifteen volunteers, I will select from those who request to go.

Would be foolish for me to stay out of this.
Every resource needs to be used.

[He is, in fact, a resource. A walking guidebook of sorts. He knows his worth here is at least not zero. And — well. Maybe it would be good, to help the Solmarans who have few choices left.]

I make tech and weapons. Do you know if the person running Solmara uses bots for security?

Couple of bots. Less than here.
But they're advanced. Stronger. They enforce missions, defend the hospital's lower levels.

Also - Cameras around the outer walls of the city. Not real advanced, set off by movement.

Everything else is Solmarans who have to perform guard duties or starve to death over and over til they give in.

We had a mission before with advanced bots we had to trick. [ That "had to" is doing a lot of work... ] I can try and put together tools to mess with them even if it's temporary.

Do you know anything about the boss? I heard she put a charm on everyone who came over here? But then it stopped working when you crossed into Etraya?

Anything to limit the bots would help.

Didn't have a lot of ahh, interaction with her in my year there.

And not because she killed them or got them beat up? Okay.

I can work on traps for the bots. I want to get to the hospital and see what's going on with the AI. Aurora said that she keeps us here, so whatever they did to the AI in Solmara, it sounds like it has to be around in some capacity.

I can't do a lot about charm work. But if someone else can then that would be good.

Probably a little bit of both.

Rifle bullet through her head from a distance'll probably do the trick against the charm work.

That's an option. If we can get her in a place where someone can pull that off, right?

Alright. I can bring a small charm if you do want to hide your face. But you don't have to use it.

Someone else can use it. Someone good at sneaking.

Does Alrys know that I've transferred to Etraya?
Would she consider the possibility that I'm returning from my mission?
Got a thought for a 'back-up plan'.

is there a way to use it to your advantage to collect information about your sibling?

The way you were delivered to me did register you as one of mine, but that may have been intentional on her part. I registered that there were additional arrivals that were not accounted for originally. However, I was unable to discern which were not supposed to be present.

And I am uncertain if Alrys has access to those records.

Do you know what she was after? I'm aware it was related to supplies.

She wanted the equipment used to bring supplies in to bubble cities.
Blueprints, knowledge of how it works, knowledge of where the supplies come from...
Since the AI isn't importing, she wants to find a way to do it instead.

She knows she doesn't have a lot of time before resources become scarce to her.

I am not permitted to share that information with you.

But I may be able to give you something Alrys may mistake as helpful.

Its fine. That was the idea anyway.
If the potential arises, can give them that 'helpful' something.
IF they don't smell blood in the water with me.

I will save data on an external hard-drive that may be mistaken for what Alrys is looking for. When it is time to leave, I will have it ready for you.

Will it have something of use to you on it?
Since it'll be a fake, figured you might have an idea of something helpful to replace the data with.

I was intending on trying to hide a message to Borealis within it.
