There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:

Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya!
Other characters can be prompted to fill out their friends' profiles for them. This includes the Q&A section!
Alternatively, they choose not to fill out the form, and it remains unfilled! These unfilled profiles will not be posted live.
Characters either like or dislike others CHIRPER profiles. These responses are private between the characters involved.

For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER toplevels are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

They help give insight to a talented man who was haunted by his demons. Such beauty he created but such pain he had

That's a very good way to put it.

Do you have any favorites?

Probably the letters that included his sketches. It’s interesting to see what had already been planned out at what point and what the final result is. Field with Irises is a good example.

Mmm. A nice choice. I do like the pastorals and his evolving relationship between the yellows and purples in those works. I always find ones like that a reminder to think about what's happening outside the box, too.

You can't tell just standing in front of so many that they're painted from a view off the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole, or Saint-Paul's. It makes you wonder, from extrapolation, what more there was still of that brilliant mind and brilliant man. Outside the frame. Outside the pages of his words.

Agreed. I also find his self-portraits fascinating and most telling of his state of mind. How haunted he was by his demons and bring out a sad beauty in his work. He created those to practice his portrait skills but even from that, it shows his incredible talent

The expressive directness of the eyes in those always captured my attention when I got the chance to see one, even a digital rendering of it.

It's even more impressive if you see any of them in person. I recommend it if you ever get the chance to visit one.

I don't think I can allowed myself the sin of just hoping one will pop up here, so I'll have to content myself with the one I have gotten to see one once, a very long time ago on traveling collection, and just loving on the photographed ones we have until there's any chance of getting home.

Though, really, it does beg the question—if so many of us come from so many different places, I wonder if that means there might be differing works somewhere among us all, too.

It's possible. There appears to be a large number of alternate Earths here. Each have their own unique features. It would be quite the task to comparing everyone's notes on that.

How would you even vet for it, though, you know? Who could even dare try to emulate? And how many people do know hiw works well enough?

I should take a much closer look at all the records in Mr. Finch's library.

The collection there is impressive, though it begs the question what books are allowed to appear there. Is it based on the residents here? Some common works that would be recognizable for most people here?

So far, it seems it's very much the collection he had back home in his world, but I haven't asked him if he's noticed anything missing, or anything added to it. I haven't yet noticed anything I don't recognize, but I'll have to stay on the lookout for it now, too.

[ She's not sure how well he'd know or not. Given both his memory and the utter lack of anything like a cataloging system, previous to adding it to her plate of things to build for the library along with the forthcoming digital platform. ]

You're one of Etraya's librarians then?

I may have offered myself up as a lamb to slaughter for that one. I ended up mentioing that it was a job I did back home, too, for a while, and one thing lead to another and—

[ She doesn't mention how it really fell out. She doesn't need to detail out anyone else's inclination, or lack thereof, with dealing with the people consistently who love the books and the library. You can love them, and want to share them, and still not want to be the person having to handle it all the time. ]

All knowledge is worth having and worth making available to those who would like it, whether that's for education or entertainment. You never know what might help someone to solve parts of mission, or just survive the next day here between arriving and getting to go home.
