CHIRPER

⏵ CHIRPER ⏴
Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
  • Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
  • When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya!
  • Other characters can be prompted to fill out their friends' profiles for them. This includes the Q&A section!
  • Alternatively, they choose not to fill out the form, and it remains unfilled! These unfilled profiles will not be posted live.
  • Characters either like or dislike others CHIRPER profiles. These responses are private between the characters involved.

For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER toplevels are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

Please feel free to switch out any of the Q&A questions with those listed here! We have an example of a filled out form here.

Do you think they'd let you set up a garden around here somewhere?

I....actually don't know!

I mean, the place is so huge and there's a lot of natural forests and stuff. So why not have a garden in the central part of town? I was gonna see about getting some plants for my place to tide me over. But I think a community garden sounds like a great idea!

I'm going to have to look into this!

A community garden sounds like a great idea! I bet a lot of people would enjoy something like that. We should definitely ask if we can do that.

Sounds like a plan!

I'll have to reach out to Aurora and see what she thinks. I have a feeling though that it will be okay to set up.

time traveling backwards can lead to more trouble than people expect
it worked out for you?
manifesthope: (Always Genuine)

[personal profile] manifesthope 2025-06-11 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah! It took a handful of tries, but the last time I went back, things seemed tons better! I didn't get a chance to fully assess the situation before I was brought here. But compared to the future I grew up in, it looked amazing!

I know others who have tried that
did you have to kill anyone to fix it?
manifesthope: (Pondering)

[personal profile] manifesthope 2025-06-19 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
The first time it happened....I uh actually did think that the answer to saving my future was to take out a specific target. But then I eventually discovered that they weren't the cause of everything going south after all. We eventually became friends! Funny how that turned out.

It turned out that what needed to be altered was actually the outcome of chains of various events, not whether a particular person lived or died.

I definitely know how delicate and fluid the timelines are, so I know not to mess around with them too much.

I know people who need to learn that lesson.
it's good that you did before it was too late
having to stop yourself from doing something gets to be confusing

You can time travel too? [...] Did you actually repair it? [So many movies make time travel, as cool as it is, turn out to cause bad things to happen.]
manifesthope: (Always an Optimist)

[personal profile] manifesthope 2025-06-11 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah!! I don't have any actual control over it though. When the portals appear, it always seems to be at the right time and I end up where I need to be. So I haven't figured out if it's me, or something else.

With my knowledge of some historical events, I usually have a general idea what I need to fix when I go back. It took a handful of tries, but I seemed to have repaired the timeline before I was brought here. I just haven't had a chance to make certain of it.
thelightshines: (Well who am I)

[personal profile] thelightshines 2025-06-12 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
[...] How many times have gone back to repair your timeline?
manifesthope: (Considering)

[personal profile] manifesthope 2025-06-19 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
4 or 5 times? At least a handful of times. The last time I went back though it looked like things were finally as they should be. Blue skies, bustling cities, green grass and forests, clear water. I just didn't get a chance to really explore before I got pulled here to Etraya.
thelightshines: (is all that I get)

[personal profile] thelightshines 2025-06-20 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Have you thought maybe fixing one thing, makes other things happen?
manifesthope: (Confident)

[personal profile] manifesthope 2025-06-24 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
That's actually a really valid point.

I imagine that if you go back in time and do really crazy (big) things that it could cause more damage. I always try to be careful with what I do or share in the past, but...yeah. Thinking that maybe I did something wrong (or didn't do something) that made things worse does bother me sometimes. I understand what you mean though, trying to fix one thing and it causes another thing.

There was two major events that I helped resolve recently in the current timeline back on my world. Though the last time I saw my time period after that, it looks like things are pretty positive at least! Blue skies, and people seemed happy. I hope it remains that way. What actually makes me more uneasy is when I get sent back to the past without any idea what I need to fix.
