There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:

Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya!
Other characters can be prompted to fill out their friends' profiles for them. This includes the Q&A section!
Alternatively, they choose not to fill out the form, and it remains unfilled! These unfilled profiles will not be posted live.
Characters either like or dislike others CHIRPER profiles. These responses are private between the characters involved.

For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER toplevels are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

[...All right, well. He'll meet him there eventually then. He doesn't give back a response, since it's already been agreed on to...hang out.

It's no surprise that Shadow reaches the clearing first, even when he was going at a more leisure pace getting there. There are no birds to bother him today...he be surprised if they did after what happened. He'll come down to the lake, looking across it. And it's here he'll wait for Scott.]

[It takes Scott an extra ten minutes or so, but he'll eventually make it to the area. His footsteps are purposely loud, because it's not like he's trying to catch Shadow off guard (not that he probably could), and it makes it easy to track his movements and general distance from the other until he finally stops to stand next to the hedgehog in silence.

A silence that lasts a few seconds, at least.]

...Thanks.

[He says, quietly, but there's something less angry actually clinging to him.]

[His ears swerve slightly at Scott's approaching steps. He didn't need to turn to know it's him. Silence is something Shadow always welcomes, so he doesn't mind that Scott isn't saying anything at first. But it is strange to see the boy being his less chatty self.]

. . . This way. [He turns and starts moving away from the lake, back towards the forest to his right. There was a clearing he took Fio to not too long ago. Full of flowers and a clear view of the sky above. It's where he was taking Scott.]

[At least he's positive that Shadow isn't leading him to his death. That sounds more like the other Shadow's MO-- okay, maybe even that's unfair, but it's definitely true that he gets along with this version of the hedgehog more. It's funny how different they are despite being the same 'person.'

He wonders if that's how the other mutants see him, and there's only one Scott Summers in this world.

Nonetheless, he follows Shadow without complaint, simply nodding as he keeps his footsteps steady behind the other. He's not too sure what Shadow has in mind or what he should expect... but there's something undeniably nice as he steps into the clearing with him. A field full of flowers, a clear sky; there's something definitely peaceful about this area.

His shoulders visibly relax as he looks around. Kind of surprising there's not many people here.]

...This is nice. [Scott compliments quietly.]

[Most stick to the city. Shadow prefers the relative calm and peace the forest offers. So he has a better idea where things are than most. After watching Scott for a moment, he walks to find a spot to settle among the flowers.]

[It's like he's fully taking cues from the other now, because as soon as Shadow finds a spot to lie around in, the teen joins him right after. He lets his body rest against the flowers, eyes temporarily shutting behind his shades before he stares up at the sky with that slightly more relaxed look.

...

Yeah, he can see why Shadow comes to this place. Not only are there less people around here, but you can't really hear the noisiness of the city either. Guess this is what people meant by just having some sort of nature experience, huh? That's what's happening now.]

So, is this your favorite spot?

[...Very strange experience when Scott decides to "slow down". He should be content with this, but it just...bothers him.]

I have a few other places. [Gotta have alternatives incase one gets compromised.] You can come back to this spot, whenever.

Yeah? ...Well, thanks, Shadow.

[His voice continues to carry on that more quiet tone, still battling with his mixed emotions when it comes to the other mutants. Maybe, deep down, he knows that they don't really hate him, but it's still hard. Guess it's just difficult because he was initially excited to meet more mutants, as he was starting to adjust and like the ones he knows back home, but... it's different here.

Like he found a place to fit in back home, but now he's back to feeling like the odd one out. However, he doesn't bring these things up, assuming that Shadow doesn't want hear more of that.]

I'll probably take you up on that offer when I just want to get away from everyone for a bit. [Then slightly joking--] Might be often, warning you now.

You, wanting to get away from people. [He knows some people need it, but he can't help and look unimpressed at Scott. Could have fooled him with how often he pushes wanting to hang out with Shadow.

...Or does he really have no one else to spend his time with? Just going by that Chirper. A huff, looking back up at the sky.]

Like I said, I have other places. [Stay here however much you want. If Shadow doesn't want the company, he'll go elsewhere.]

[He slides his hands to the back of his head, mood improving and slowly sliding to something that's a little more familiar to the hedgehog, although Scott's still not behaving as boisterous as before. He just feels a little more calm, simply enjoying the present company without fully saying it out loud yet.]

I know this is surprising to you, but I'm really not that outgoing. Never had a lot of friends back home. [He lifts one shoulder in a half shrug.] It's whatever.

[...] Am I the only one here you keep bothering?

[He hasn't exactly been the friendliest. Not exactly going out of his way to do anything with them, besides right now. At most, he tolerates Scott when their paths cross. And he knows there's definitely those way more willing to make friends here than him. Do they hate him too?]

Maybe not the only one, but like I said, I never had a lot of friends.

[Besides Shadow? Fio, maybe, but he's not about to bother a 8 year old girl to spend time with him. And then there's sort of Sophie, but she's also part of the problem at times. And other than those two... yeah, guess Shadow really is the only person that he keeps on 'bothering' around here.

Of course there's Cable and Hope, but... also complicated shit.]

...At least you had some. [At least Scott looked human enough to make some. Not like he ever had that option. The bond he had with Maria was a miracle in itself. So it's hard, for him to sympathized when he never belonged anywhere in the first place. Scott should be glad with what he has.]

[Scott tilts his head over at Shadow at that, mouth tugged into a small frown. Not that he's surprised by his comment or anything, but it does sort of reinforce how surprising it is that he brought him out here in the first place.]

...You had one person, right?

[Dangerous territory, he knows. Scott won't push too hard.]

[Treading dangerous waters indeed. He doesn't look to Scott, his brows furrowing as he turns his back to him.]

No. [To this line of questioning? Eitherway, she's dead. There's no one anymore.]

[....]

Well, you have one person now. Even if you find me annoying most of the time or don't want to do anything. That's fine. I'll be around.

[Shadow taking him here is still more than what most has done for him.]

[...He doesn't want that. They don't seem to understand this. Because if something were to happen to him...then he'd have to live through the pain all over again. He doesn't want to experience that again.

His ears twitch, eyes attentive at the forest around them. He moves to stand, looking around the area. The fur on his arm standing on end. It feels like they weren't alone anymore. He feels....something as well. Someone?]

...Wait here. [He'll start walking back into the forest, leaving Scott in the clearing. He could just be imagining it, but he's gotten as far as he has following his own gut instincts. He won't travel far, less whatever's out there tries to come for Scott.]

[ once the hedgehog is out of scott's line of sight, it happens in an instance, a flash of green light and a gloved hand reaching out to grab the back of the younger shadow's head just to push him forward as though he's being aimed to the ground...

however no, it's not that easy, it's to fool him into thinking he has to push back and up, because shadow will apply a swift kick to their back. not just any simple kick, the energy that shoots from underneath his air shoes strengthens the strike to send the other right into a nearby tree.

this wasn't properly planned, a spur of the moment. ]

-!? [Sometimes, he kind of wish he wasn't right. Just as the other pushes him down, he falls for the bait. An instinctual reaction to pushback, to be met with a swift kick towards a tree. Jets come on from his own air shoes as he manages to reorientate himself at the last minute, so he doesn't go slamming into the tree and completely expose himself to his surprise attacker.

The tree shudders, pine and leaves falling, whatever birds that were roosting flying off. He looks to who had struck him, absolutely not surprised when he sees who it was. Here? Right now? The pause to process is likely going to cost him, probably too late for him retaliate and so he waits for the other to make their next move.]
