[The video turns on to show Clive outdoors. He seems to be walking rather quickly as he speaks so the video is a little shaky.]

Forgive me if the quality of this video is not great. It’s my first time doing this, but I have a message for the community.

At midday, there will be a battle in the Ochreward area. This is a planned event and there is nothing to be alarmed of. You will likely see and hear two giant creatures fighting. One will be a dragon and the other a dark knight upon his steed. Please say well clear of the area. While this is just a spar for them, it can very quickly become deadly for anyone who is too close or tries to intervene.

If the dragon sees you and can, he’ll likely do what he can to avoid hitting you. The knight will not. Don’t take the risk.

I repeat: do not approach the area. It will be unsafe for you. This isn’t a fun event to come gawk at. This is two highly skilled warriors testing their mettle against one another.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know, and I will do my best to help you. I will be near the area where the spar is happening in an effort to prevent anyone from interrupting if the request needs to be made in person, but it would be safer if you asked here instead.

Not home, sir, I have to rely on the trolleys today to return to the apartments I'm afraid. I'm sure these deadly combatants would never fight so close to vital infrastructure..?

I was told most people can walk faster than those trollies move. The intention is to avoid vital infrastructure, but things can go awry. You need to get home as soon as you can.

I'm doing my best! I didn't think to bring my chocobo today, I'm very sorry. But don't worry, I can't see any explosions from here, so they're probably very far away.

[ The tone is exasperated. Gaia was always there on the trolley right? Sure. So were the bag of snacks and drinks. ]

[ Frankly, they probably have a constant Go Watch Something loadout kit in the front closet of the apartment or something. And the only reason she doesn't know if she had time to get the chairs is because she wanted to beat the crowds. ]

It's fine, the less stuff we're carrying the better. I'd rather not get killed trying to save a chair.

Why bother? We can come back for the remains and clean up the rest.

[ Or she can get better at teleporting all the things at once. Get good, Gaia. ]

Was that another person? Go home, kid. And take your friend with you. This isn't some fun thing to watch. You and your friend could get very badly injured, maybe even killed, if you get too close.

While I could get out and push, I'm unsure that'd be productive. And yes it was someone else, it's a public transport, other people can use it as they see fit. Would it ease your mind any if we were to exit the next stop?

[ How does she know it's Barnabas?! Well maybe it was mentioned somewhere and she was listening to the chatter? If not then HOW... anyway ]

And someone has to make sure Sephiroth and Popp don't goad one another to seeing how long they can stay before having to outrun a blastwave.

[ She sounds like the aggrieved, reasonable one here. But she also brought snacks. ]

You saying you know Barnabas does not make me feel any better. I'm also getting the distinct feeling that unless you are bodily hauled out of there, you won't be leaving. If it gets dangerous, you run. Do you hear me? You run. Fuck the trolley. Leave anything you brought. None of that matters. You surviving matters.

The hospital is being made aware that there may be injured coming. Don't let it be one of you.

We're not staying on the trolley. I just came to pick Sephiroth up.

[ Once she's got a good idea of where they're going to aim to set up, she'll get them up there. Will this be because Popp flies around to scope out a spot and then calls? Maybe. Maybe not. They often have to fly by ear on this business. ]

I'm not saying is not a bad idea to warn the hospital. But it's also not your fault if we decide to go despite the danger. So don't worry too much. At least, don't think you have to regret anything since you've done what you should.

[ Giving them warning, setting up notice. Learning what the Streisand Effect even is. ]

Oh, Barnabas. The man with the behemoth. ..Your concern is .. I'm grateful for it, sir, but it sounds like these are Summons, and I'm aware of their approximate combat range effectiveness. We'll be alright. And if we're not you can come to the hospital and point and laugh.

Miss, my job here was to make sure people were able to stay safe. If you end up in the hospital, that means I did not do my job well enough. Unless you can create powerful shields or teleport, if anything goes awry you will get hurt.

[He does appreciate her level-headedness about all of this, but he would like this all a lot more if they just left.

He sighs.]

Anything you think you know about what these are, forget it. Your world and mine are not the same. We transform into these creatures. They are not summoned. They are a part of us. There is no summoner to dismiss them if things get too rough. These beings are basically fragments of the power of a god.

I know you are joking, but I would never laugh at your pain. Clearly, I can't convince either of you to go somewhere safe far, far away from here. Just keep each other safe as best as you can and if you need help, call me.

Gaia. And if I wasn't capable of such things, I would certainly not go. Anyway, you're going to wear yourself out if you try to take responsibility for everyone's safety here.

Sorry, I know that's not directed at me but I'm not from your world either, yet... there's many things that are similar to my own. So we won't be left completely unaware of the risks.

Yes, they were regarded as gods on my planet too.

[They still are in some places, but not in the science department. Sephiroth had healthy skepticism about why any such thing would be considered divine. He's looking forward to seeing how impressive they are though.]

Life is not safe, sir. But I trust Gaia's skills. She can teleport. Etraya's population is remarkably resilient. Might we convince you to find a nice hill to watch from and see for yourself..?

[Clive sighs in a way that almost turns into a groan.]

You know what? Clearly nothing I say is going to change anyone's mind there. Gaia, look out for your friend. Make tracks if things go south. And thanks for the suggestion, but I'm going to make sure the people who are being even less careful about this don't get trampled.
