The user’s hands pass over the deck and spreads it wide into an arc. Her hands are tanned, with two rings on her ring finger and one on her index finger, and she has so many colourful braided bracelets that some wind around her palm.

Her voice is pleasant, playful, French, a little theatrical:]

If it moves you, you must repay me with an amusing anecdote about yourself.

[Amused:] It’s divination, and not set in stone.

[She pulls a card, turning it to reveal the reversed nine of cups, with a fellow sitting proudly amongst them.]

Nine of Cups, reversed. Are you feeling unfulfilled as of late, Sophie? You seem to be seeking something to fill a void.

You can't just drop that and not explain what the card is telling you, babe.

(Stalling.)

This is a conversation, friend. It rolls.

[She knows.]

You know, this card warns you when you’ve placed too much focus on material goods and superficial things. Funny, thinking on how we met.

I literally stole a card from Earth to drag all my shit to Etraya, so, unsurprising.

It also says there’s a need for self-reflection. Your desires are not in line with what would bring you happiness –– oh, Sophie, what is going on there? Are you hiding something with fleeting pleasures?
