Hello, Etraya. My name is Lois Lane, and for anyone who met a younger me before, yes, still a reporter, and no, that wasn't past me.
( A pause. People get alternate worlds here, right? )
I'm interested in talking with people about the most recent mission before our next one hits, especially in regards to the anomaly itself and any resolution or lack there-of there was. I want to write-up what we as Etrayans believe happened and get it out there for everyone since there's no real mission debriefing process.
If there are other missions you'd like to go over from your perspective, I'd be glad to do the same. If you're concerned about being named, tell me and you'll remain anonymous.
( Another pause. She sighs, very, very quietly. )
I'll be spending a good part of the later mornings over at the unnamed Diner. If anyone has anything else they'd like to comment on about Etraya and see distributed, you can reach out to me by text or call or stop by. If you're all going to end up asking for gossip columns or restaurant reviews, I'm drafting help.
( ooc: "Interview" Questions here as a form to fill out OOCly; happy to also thread anything out, just is easier if I have info to work with sooner for writing up. And no I have no idea what I'm doing we're living in Wild Times. )

pretend i said telepathic as i intended before i got distracted by my fav, telekinesis /weeps
Which is a fair thing to want, both from your perspective, and from hers. We don't want to see the people we care about hurt, especially not killed. And that's not justice, killing someone in return for their hurting other people, regardless of how in control of their own decisions they were or weren't.
( Lois gently lifts her eyebrows again. )
Sounds like the anomaly really founds something to like about her friend. It'd been on the planet for a while before the Etrayan group arrived, hadn't it? Any idea from her about why it found her friend such an attractive individual?

[ He gestures to his own head. ]
I get so mad my head gets full, and it's fucked up-- not good, being in there, [ he hurries to say, after that correction of his swear. H-he's in front of an adult!
And at this time, the companion bot comes over to their table to set down a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows and whipped cream, and a blueberry muffin. 'There you go, Gorgug',, it says pleasantly, and Gorgug nods and gives a 'Thanks' that's respectable back.
Does Lois have any requests before it wanders off back to its waiting spot? ]

Yeah, your head gets loud, there's no room for anyone else in there. Maybe not even yourself sometimes?
( She remembers being a teenager, but before then, Lois has always had a loud head. Wants to know why. Needs to understand. Not believing that easy answers are the pat-happy standard of the world around her. It can get exhausting, but it's also simple enough to stare down and fight her way through, as any sensible person would when baseline suspicious of the world as a whole. )

It was like that, but I got used to... I figured how to focus on things, even when it's like that. When you know why you're angry, or want to be angry, and what your focus is-- it's not, [ he starts, stops, and then considers where he wants to take this. Knowing the place anger and rage has in the world, how people view it, understandably, and yet: ]
I know how to use it. I've been trained to use it, and it's not... It's something I'm good at, [ he eventually says, settles on. ] I'm pretty good at being mad.
[ How ever that sounds to another person. ]

As long as it's working for you, and the anger isn't working you.
( She lifts her shoulders in a small shrug. )
Different people have to use what's innate to them differently.
( Clark could never use rage in the same way. It's too dangerous, without fine control, when he's fully capable of holding up collapsing buildings for long enough to allow people to escape. Or to carry a whole Thing that's been killed by the Justice Gang in one of the central parks of the city. )

But that's neither here nor there. This isn't about him. So Gorgug takes a drink of his hot cocoa finally, a good gulp, and starts unpeeling the wrapper of his muffin. ]
Anyway, I've-- you wanted to know about other missions too? I've been here for most of them. I think I missed-- two? My friends took part in a mission I wasn't in, so I know, there was one before I showed up. On a ship.
[ Ah, wait: ] A spaceship.

I do, yes. Anything from the ones you know, or the ones your friends know, would be valuable.
( These missions don't seem to have a logical thread from what she's seen backreading the network, at least. )
