[In a rare moment of using video on purpose, there's Jayce. To those who know him, he looks the same as he always does. To those who don't- he's an early 30's man with seemingly a permanent five-o-clock shadow, bright golden eyes, and perfectly coiffed hair. The background is out of focus, but to those who know it, it's clearly a part of S.T.A.R. labs. Normally a little more jovial or at least less serious sounding, Jayce looks into the camera like he's giving a press release.]
We’ve got about forty-eight hours or less until Aurora allows that toxin into Etraya. Which means if you haven’t started taking precautions already; start now. Get easily carried food, medical supplies, whatever you think you'd need. Better to be over-prepared than under.
Considering what Aurora's told us about the "mission"... If you’re someone prone to having weapons, do us all a favor and throw them into one of our many, lovely lakes, before you wind up using it on someone else. Or, if you’re going to be touchy about it, let me know, I’ll talk with Harold about how we can get them locked up somewhere for the mission’s duration.
As a reminder to those who don’t want to think about it, and maybe new information to those who are new: if you die here, for whatever reason, you lose something. I don’t know what, you won’t know what, and you might not even know what it is you’ve lost even after you’ve lost it. Maybe it’s an eye, maybe it’s the memory of your best friend. Either way, whatever you're afraid of by not having your weapons on you isn’t worth what you’ll be making someone else lose because of your bad decisions.
If you have any special concerns, worries about any specific denizens in this upcoming mission, now's also the time to voice it.

[ But he knows how hard Jayce takes these things, when words are miscontrued and inaction is the result. ]
The safe might be a more suitable choice. It certainly is not a bad idea, and I think it is noble of you to try. But that is all we can do when faced with so many differing worlds and opinions.
[ Another cough as he turns away to cover his mouth with the hand that was resting on Jayce's arm. ] I am more worried about the particles. We should prepare for it. Do you think these ventilators would have any hope of stopping people from breathing them in?

I don't know. We should make two for ourselves, and if it does work, we can make more for others. I don't know if I have the supplies for more than a few right now.

If these particles are to affect our minds, however, I'm not sure how much use these will be... [ he doesn't exactly look uncertain, but there is that characteristic furrow of his brow as he fiddles with one of those masks. ]
Focusing on finding the opening should be our main objective, truthfully. [ He will also tug on Jayce's sleeve to get him to sit again. ]
Sit. Getting tense will do us no good. We will work with what we have and use the other spare parts to make a tracking device.

I have a few people who agreed to help when the vent first opens, to try and narrow the scope of direction at least.
[He's about to start pacing when Viktor tugs on his sleeve. He sighs and sits, his leg bouncing anxiously. With more fussing of his sleeve, he stares at a distant wall, avoiding eye contact with Viktor.]
It'd be easier if we could figure this all out from behind closed doors, right? Just stay at home with supplies... Stay off the streets...
[He gives a quick glance to Viktor's face to see if he seems completely repulsed by the suggestion.]

[ Hm. ] At any rate, I...I would like to help as much as possible, but-
[ but his health is getting worse, he is getting worse, he would only be a burden if he were to try and help look for the vent. His hand balls into a fist before he coughs and covers his mouth with said hand. ]
But I am not sure how much I would be able to do. [ Like this. ]

I know. We're close on a solution. I got the supplies from Aurora. All that's left is to run it.
[With their closeness, Jayce runs a hand through Viktor's hair, and caresses his cheek.]
And then imagine what we can do here together.
