( Alex looks refreshed. Which does not seem like that should be anyone's present normal, but she had a little help for feeling clear headed and then some, so she's doing better than she would have coming out of the last two weeks. She also waves to the camera, and then holds up a piece of paper with writing on one side. Slowly, she turns it over to show the back side is covered in mathematical equations. )

Hey everyone, it's Alex again. Scylla talked with me briefly right before the fog started clearing up. Mostly I wanted to bring up the journal page he left with me. I can read it out loud for people, just ask, but he said there's a total of nine more of these in Etraya right now. Anyone else get one? What he and Aurora can't talk about directly because of a specific curse on what they're allowed to say can probably be guessed at through these entries.

( Holding that mathematical side closer to the 'camera' such as it is, she adds: )

So who here are our math wizards? He said the mathematics explains what's going on, and his challenge was us looking for a solution to the whole problem. I don't think he actually thinks we will, which kind of makes me want to all the more.

( Another pause. )

I'm good with math. [Understatement of the year.] But being called a 'math wizard' is an insult.

What do you prefer to be called?

Anyway, I don't know that one page will give you much, but we can make copies and see what other pages people have or find. Or ask Aurora if she's willing to give you the rest, Scylla seemed sure she had it all. The math, that is. Not the journal pages.

Just someone who's good at math. I'm not a fucking wizard, those kinds of people are irritating.

Figuring out the entire thing based on only your page wouldn't be ideal, but I've been in situations that weren't ideal before. [Mathematical ones, even.] I can ask Aurora, but she might be limited. It'd be best to find all the other pages.

Do you have literal wizards where you're from? They're not really a thing for me.

I'd say aim for both. See if Aurora can help, while also looking for the other pages. Maybe she has advice on how to find them?

Magicians, yes. The best ones tend to be selfish assholes.

[Give him a few minutes, then he's sending a response.]

She said she requested the data but didn't receive it, and she can't help us in locating it. So no luck on that front.

At least we know her word on it. So it sounds like we've got at least seven unaccounted for now, GustaveEiffel has one and Clea has another, so either there's seven out in Etraya, or we have more in people's hands that just haven't spoken up about it yet.

Three is better than nothing. I can start working with that right now.

[You know what's fun? Running complex mathematical theorems that are missing data, instead of thinking about the mission, and certain things that happened while on said mission.]

We're making copies, and Clea's already got a head start on that, so I'll get the set of three to you as soon as I can. Or if you want to come by the 7-Eleven?

( sure does sound like avoidance, which is her favorite thing, so keep on making poor decisions Accelerator, it's a life cause! )

[Oh, that's an easy decision.]

I need more coffee so I'll meet you there.

[He will never not turn down the chance to get more canned coffee.]

[And he heads down to the 7-Eleven! After the mission it's more like dragging himself down there, but the temptation of canned coffee and complex math is too much. His fridge is down to only a few cans, so this is a good time to stock up.

As soon as he arrives he grabs a basket and makes a beeline over to the aisle with coffee. Without any hesitation he starts dumping cans of BOSS Black into it.]

( Alex sees him at some point, but she's parked over by the copy machine, continuing to make double-sided copies of at least her page. Maybe the others are here, maybe not, but eventually they will be!

Meaning she calls out (this copier keeps having jams so she's just resigned to stick by it): )

You weren't kidding about the coffee, huh! Which brand's your devil of choice?

[He will be taking every single can of that brand, thank you. Any poor soul who was looking for the same thing will just have to wait until the bots restock in a day or two.]

BOSS.

[That's all he's saying until he's done. When he is, he hefts up the now-heavy shopping basket and makes his way over to the photocopier. It gets set down again so he can grab a can and pop it open with his free hand as he stares down at the pages.]
