(A day later, those who hadn't replied to it with the 'X' but replied with a 'Y' and people she knows will receive a sultry, raspy voice in their brain. There's some static with it, unfortunately, her powers have been glitchy since they returned from The War.)

/Hi. It's Sophie, you know, Cuckoo. Sorry for the brain static, blame Aurora for letting that vent open in the first place, but that aside, if you are hearing me, it's because of that post, and this is important.

I don't trust Aurora, and I'm sure plenty of you don't either; that's why we are talking here. I scanned the whole place from top to bottom. Scylla actually did leave, so that is confirmed. If any of you had contact with Scylla and would be willing to let me take a look at it, please let me know so I can keep a record. I'm also sure he's a telepath like me, so I want to make sure everyone who has met him has their brain in place.

Also, if anyone knows how I can reach him, that'd be fantastic. I'd probably come back with at least something to report. I asked Aurora if she could pass down a message, but again, I don't trust her to do it, or with anything, really.

So, yeah, remember that thing I keep talking about, community being important and stuff? Let's get on that. Also, ugh, do me a favor and pass the word to the cowards who responded with an 'X'. Also, to respond to me, just think, man, start with my name, so I can actually filter you guys. And don't talk out loud. You guys just look weird when you do that./

[ She took this whole thing very well in Harold's opinion -- grumpy words aside -- which means he'll give her a chance. As much as he hates the idea, he sees the sense in it, and he sure has had to get used to abilities like this. ]

[ Harold is showing character development of his own, because a year ago he'd never have relaxed his paranoia enough to agree to this at all. As it is, he's plenty spooked by the mental contact, the equivalent of all his hair standing on end like a freaked-out cat.

The nerves are probably palpable even as he responds with the utmost courtesy. ]

You did not, but I'm afraid I perpetually do. Sound like a teacher, that is.

[ He does have a sense of humor and some amount of self-awareness, at least. Harold realizes he might actually have an image of Scylla on one of his security cameras, but he's not sure he wants to share that he has those at all... and in deference to her request to be discreet, he addresses the other topic he has thoughts on first. It's less sensitive by far. ]

I don't propose we trust Aurora unreservedly, but I will say that she has wholly acted as I would expect from an artificial intelligence of her caliber who is still beholden to her core programming. In that regard I would say she is more predictable than fickle.

she is echo's mouthpiece. i don't trust echo, therefore, i don't trust her. i can't yell at the mastermind, i'm gonna yell at the soldier, you understand.

By that logic, following orders should be an acceptable excuse for human rights abuses, but somehow we don't sit comfortably with that idea most of the time.

I only intend to point out that mistaking Aurora as merely Echo's device may prove to have serious consequences. We must assess her on her own merits.
