Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:

• Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
• When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
• Characters can either like or dislike others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
• This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
• For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER profiles are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

This month there is a special 👻 SPOOKY SEASON 👻 addition: instead of ✓ or ✕ for like or dislike, it's 🎃 and 💀. Whatever the character has the most votes for shows up appended to their username on the network for the next month, as in, un: aurora 💀.

Q: If you were to participate in a costume contest, what would your costume be?
A: I saw some costumes I liked a lot on our last mission, but it'd be hard to pick one. How come half the earlier questions were already answered before I got to fill anything out?

A: I don't know what this is. I'll get back to you.

Q: What's one thing that's left on your bucket list of things to do before you die?
A: I don't have a list or a bucket. Do I know I'm going to die in this scenario? Why would I just wait around for it to happen if I did??

Q: What would you like your funeral arrangements to be?
A: If I die unexpectedly, please cremate me and subject the ashes to intense pressure until it becomes a diamond, then give that diamond to Gaia. I think she'd appreciate me, but a rock.

You know I would have been quite cross if someone showed up with a diamond and said it was your body and that's the first time I was hearing about it.

I'll bring something with pumpkin spice home. Hot or cold drink?

If they're the ones that killed me, you may revenge to your heart's content. I'm sure I'd make a lovely set of earrings at least, though.

Which one is better, to your personal opinions?

Perhaps. Or maybe I'd make something more practical.

I'd say hot. And it doesn't really taste like pumpkin.

Hm. I guess diamond chips make for good sawblades too.

[Sephiroth already knows damn well she'll have tried both, that's why he can rely on her judgment!]

Hot, then. What does it taste like? If it's not pumpkin flavored why is it called pumpkin flavored..?

I'm not going that far, Sephiroth.

[ She might be willing to turn it into pieces for jewelry but she's not going to make a sawblade out of Sephiroth's hyper-compressed corpse. Standards. ]

It tastes like spices that go into muffins and pie with pumpkin in them. [ She also had a muffin at the time. ] So I suppose it's the association.

I trust your judgment. I'll have to die first though, and I don't intend to any time soon. There's plenty of time to plan around it.

Bucket lists are for people resigned to dying. Sephiroth intends to live forever. So far, so good.

It's a list of things you want to do before your time is up.

It seems morbid, but it's a nice way of looking at the future. And choosing for yourself.

Context suggests in this case 'before your time is up' is not old age, but something more immediate. That is terribly morbid.

No, it can be old age. It's just something to keep in mind.

You shouldn't forget about the things you'd like to do.

Sometimes there's more important things than what we'd like to do, but overall that does seem like just living. Do you have a bucket list?

Sure. Just a few things I'd like to do when I have the chance.

It doesn't mean I'm not dedicated to my work. Only that there's more room in me for other desires.

May I ask what kind of things are on that list?

I didn't know you could do that with someone's ashes. Becoming a diamond, I mean.

Most life is carbon-based. Burn away the liquid and you get mostly carbon left, and diamonds are made out of carbon. Oh wait you're a fire elemental person, so you already know about all the carbon left behind when things burn. So all of those ashes? Can be squished into diamonds with enough pressure.

That's really cool, I didn't know that!

So any ash can become a diamond?

As far as I know, yes. But you do need a fair amount of it to get a sizeable stone back.

when you say sizeable, do you mean ring size, or necklace sized?

[miniroth]

Sky's the limit, with enough force. Ring sized, fancy ornament on the end of a walking stick sized. Burn an entire planet to cinders and then find a way to squish that and you could have a moon sized diamond.

That would be cool, so it means that a human body would make a very small piece then, right?
