CHIRPER

Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
  • Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
  • When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
  • Characters can either like or dislike others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
  • This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
  • For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER profiles are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.
This month there is a special 👻 SPOOKY SEASON 👻 addition: instead of ✓ or ✕ for like or dislike, it's 🎃 and 💀. Whatever the character has the most votes for shows up appended to their username on the network for the next month, as in, un: aurora 💀.

Please feel free to switch out any of the Q&A questions with those listed here!

**This is a fixed version of the code, sorry about that!

One god? One singular god of... everything? How do they find the time to judge the dead and help the wilds flourish and ignite the sun and the moon and bless farmers with a bounteous crop and guide sailors to shore or wreck them on the rocks and safeguard all mortal knowledge and every other thing that gods do? Fickle, petty creatures they may be, but they do have duties they, mostly, attend to.

I don't even know what a latte is.

I'm not sure she had anything to do with any of that, to tell you the truth. But up until recently I admit I did find her petty.

It's a kind of drink, a little concentrated coffee but mostly steamed milk. This version is sweet and a little bit spiced. So I guess the question is, do you like sweet, hot drinks?

Petty and doesn't even bother with attending to mortal needs? I'm not sure whether an entirely hands-off god is better or worse than what my world has to contend with.

I like wine. And tea. And I'll try just about anything once.

It certainly sounds as thought yours has plenty of divine troubles.

I know, none of my business. But I admit I'm curious. Why do some world have multiple gods that involve themselves with the people? Why do some seem to have none? Are there any that transcend worlds and exist in multiple?

Anyway, these coffee drinks aren't much like wine or tea, although if you've had mulled wine some of the spices seem similar. But you might like it, and it's worth a try.

If you don't like it, you can always blame me for the suggestion.

That I can't help you with. Each new world I hear about seems stranger than the last, and I haven't a clue as to why they're all so different. Why, there are worlds out there where my entire species is considered fictional. Whole worlds, where everyone like me is nothing more than a children's storybook character.

As for the coffee, I did say I'd try just about anything once. And if you're volunteering to take the blame if I don't like it, I hope you're volunteering to come with me to try one?

I have to say that's one of the most interesting elements to this place — hearing about all those other worlds. It'd take more than a lifetime to find out why some are so different and others seem so similar, probably, but they're all fascinating.

And yes, I'd be delighted to come with you. It'd be a lot less satisfying blaming me over the network, wouldn't it? Are you free in, say, an hour?

By the way, my name is Gustave. Just Gustave; I don't know why Aurora gave me that second name. Her little joke, I guess.

I am free in an hour, and I look forward to seeing whether this drink lives up to your praise, and spreading tales of your ignominy far and wide should it fail to do so.

Shadowheart. Just Shadowheart. Thankfully Aurora has yet to try assigning me a second name as a 'joke.'

Then I'll meet you there in an hour, and will do my best to brace for the public condemnation of my character in the event that you don't like the latte.

I'll be the one with the metal arm. See you soon.
