Chirper
Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!
There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
- Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
- When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
- Characters can either like or dislike others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
- This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
- For those who do post a top level, CHIRPER profiles are worth five extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These five extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.
Please feel free to switch out any of the Q&A questions with those listed here!
**This is a fixed version of the code, sorry about that!

I have heard many new kinds of music from being here in Etraya and what I was able to listen to when we went on the earth mission. I made sure to download as much music onto my phone from there as possible before making it back to Etraya. Do you like dancing?
So long as it is what you enjoy, there is no harm in your work and your hobbies overlapping. What are the top three most interesting things you have learned about technology from worlds other than your own? Nearly everyone I have interacted with comes from somewhere more advanced than where I am from, so everything seems new and exciting to me when I first see it.
I have picked up quite a few hobbies. I won’t subject you to a list of them. Sitting still isn’t for me, so I find ways to fill my time. Photography has been a big one. I have also learned quite a bit about carpentry and some on stonemasonry. I have been helping to repair the place I live in, and it has taught me quite a few things. I’ve also always liked exploring, so I have been doing plenty of that, as well.

As for the top three technologies, how could I possibly pick? This might sound childish, but I find the advancements made for home life here some of the most fascinating, although I'm sure to the people used to having lights you can flick on and off at will or a constant stream of hot water, they seem normal to the point of boring. But — as an example — we had no personal refrigeration back in Lumière... we had to keep our foods cold with iceboxes and ventilated pantries built into the walls of our buildings. So having an electric fridge keeping our food cold is a real novelty and something to be admired!
I'm familiar with the design aspects of carpentry, but a little less so with actual execution. I'm more familiar with masonry, so if you'd like a helping hand with your repairs, please let me know.
It sounds like you've been making the most of your time here. That's admirable — not everyone is so willing to find a silver lining.

It isn’t childish at all. The first time I was able to turn a knob and get not just running water but hot running water? It felt like my life had been changed. I have never been able to clean myself so quickly. Funnily enough, I did choose to live in a place that has similar amenities to where I come from, though. I’ve found ways to make some adaptations for some things with the help of some friends. There is also a rather expansive network under the monastery itself that works well for cold storage.
I’ve built a couple of things since coming here myself. I could show you if you’d like. Back home, I have a friend who has a saying. ‘Knowledge hoarded is knowledge lost.’ I try to live by that.
So, while talk-to-text has been very handy for me in all of this, I was wondering if you would like to save ourselves the added trouble and meet up, perhaps over coffee?

I'd be delighted to see some of the things you've built, and just as happy to meet in person to talk more. Coffee sounds great. Corrine's? Sometime tomorrow, maybe?

I would love to. Are you more of a morning person or an afternoon person?
