Concerning Antigone's warning regarding our real names, it occurs to me that we would benefit from collaborating on this front.

To that end, I wish to open discussion.

For those who have chosen a name, please respond with what you have selected, that we may know what to call you.

For those who have not, you may use this posting to discuss your ideas or invite suggestions from others.

As for myself, I shall be using "Lucien", the name of a character from a novel in my world.

Its simplicity and established familiarity are factors in its favor. There is much to remember for this mission, to ease the burden will only aid us in our endeavor.

Most should indeed recall Joss, I suppose.

[ Still mildly disappointed, but alas. ]

You are dissatisfied. Why?

[He is not seeing Bahamut react in such a way to others, though he does not expect friendliness by any means from the young prince. Still, he is not such a fool to not pick up on something being amiss!]

[ There follows a pause during which he considers how to reply.

Why would he be disappointed? He certainly has no right to be. ]

Others have chosen something which holds some meaning for them. [ Even...even Whiskey guy... ] It seems I expected you might also do so.

[ He surprises himself with that, for he knows he should hold no expectations. Odin is as he has even been in Dion's experience. ]

'Tis folly, I realize.

[ After all, he knows better. Any name is as practical as another. ]

[There is a short silence that follows as he considers the explanation. Did Bahamut hope to learn something of him through the name he chose? Is his choice not telling enough of him?]

This is more than merely collecting names for you, then.

My intention was to ensure others' safety, that we might have one less complication during the mission.

[ As practical matters go, it is his foremost concern. They're being deployed to save others, and they can hardly succeed if they fall prey to the world's population. ]

Yet I did find myself curious, as others had their reasons for their selections.
