Concerning Antigone's warning regarding our real names, it occurs to me that we would benefit from collaborating on this front.

To that end, I wish to open discussion.

For those who have chosen a name, please respond with what you have selected, that we may know what to call you.

For those who have not, you may use this posting to discuss your ideas or invite suggestions from others.

As for myself, I shall be using "Lucien", the name of a character from a novel in my world.

Where did I come up with it? Oh, inspiration struck somewhere between poor impulse control and divine comedy.

I wanted something suitably grand to honor our missing companions- a name that screams dignity while tripping over its own vowels. A little hymn to heroism and idiocy in equal measure.

Besides, it’s what they’d have wanted. Pike would laugh, Scanlan would preen, Keyleth would panic, Taryon would immediately commission stationery, and Grog... well, Grog would probably try to eat the stationery.

Wait, Scanlan's a real person? Do you think it might be a problem to use the name of someone you know?

And truly, mysterious stranger whose name I have yet to learn, I am not dragging his reputation through the mud. I am improving it. My version of Scanlan involves fewer bodily fluids, better diction, and a faint acquaintance with restraint. By his standards, that is sainthood.

Hopefully he does not show up, then. Though I suspect he would be flattered to hear how far and wide his name has been spread. Knowing Scanlan, he would call it a legacy. Others might call it a public health concern.

Precisely. I’m fairly certain half the legends about him qualify as infectious. Given the rate at which his reputation spreads, we should be issuing warnings, not applause. Despite all those glorious rumors, there's nobody with a more golden heart.
