[ The video starts with a boy in a baseball cap, wearing a bright grin and lifting a hand in greeting. An I-come-in-peace kind of greeting. He's in his bedroom, sitting on his unmade bed and while his room isn't messy per se (he hasn't been here long enough to accumulate a mess), there are a few shirts haphazardly draped over the back of his headboard. ]

S'up, Etraya? The name's Junpei Iori! I'm pretty new here. Still getting the lay of the land and all, but uh...

[ He rubs the back of his neck, glancing past the camera for a moment. ]

My birthday's on the 16th. Which I guess is operation day? So I'm thinking of celebrating early. Anyone wanna maybe...hang?

[ God. That feels so pathetic. Like coming on here and pretty much announcing he's a friendless loser. Junpei quickly pivots: ]

Or I guess you could just give some recommendations of good places to check out and party it up? What place has the best food or where can a guy get a good cake...that kinda thing? Yeah, sure. I can probably go find somewhere on my own, but the best reviews are usually word of mouth!

[ Junpei shifts, palms planted on his knees as he leans forward. ]

Sooo, lay it on me, folks. Where would you spend your sweet seventeen in this place?

[ Junpei idly scratches the side of his cheek. ]

You been in this place a while?

I've got a lot of experience with zombies and vampires, too.

Yeah, I've been here about half a year.

[critpei]

Half a year? Damn. So I bet you brought your weary traveler self to Harry's Hideaway many times.

[ A pause as it settles in... ]

Wait. Hold up. Did you just say zombies?!?! Are you out there actually fighting zombies on the regular? And then just moving on from that like it's no big deal??

[ 'Sometimes things are haunted.' This guy!!!! He's like totally living the glamorized video game life, isn't he?? Taverns and enchanted music boxes and casual hauntings and zombies and vampires too. Yeah. Junpei definitely needs to befriend him! ]

Oh, no! Of course not! Usually when necromancers raise a zombie they're just doing it to get some help with manual labor or something like that. I'm not going to attack a zombie unless it attacks me first.

[ Wow. This is not at all like any zombie apocalypse movie he's seen. ]

You got....casual zombie companions to do work for necromancers? I thought necromancers were evil.

[ They have been in every game he's played anyway! ]

Aren't the zombies decaying?? Wouldn't they just fall apart and leave little pieces behind as they go?

No? Well, there are some necromancers that are evil, but in general most of them are perfectly fine.

They do decay, but there's always fresh bodies to replace them whenever the current zombies start getting too rotten. Sometimes necromancers just raise the skeletons to avoid that problem.
