He's in his bedroom, sitting on his unmade bed and while his room isn't messy per se (he hasn't been here long enough to accumulate a mess), there are a few shirts haphazardly draped over the back of his headboard. ]

Or I guess you could just give some recommendations of good places to check out and party it up? What place has the best food or where can a guy get a good cake...that kinda thing? Yeah, sure. I can probably go find somewhere on my own, but the best reviews are usually word of mouth!

The closest I've ever been to camping is going to this baseball camp when I was a kid, but we had a cabin and bunks, so it wasn't like all wilderness survival and shit, yanno?

Well, there's a first time for everything. I can definitely help you pick out a tent that's better than the ones I had to use during training, that's for sure. Nothin' that's gonna collapse on you in the middle of the night because you didn't get the poles set up right.

Haha, only if you're usin' the kind of tent they give you in basic training. I think they hand those out expectin' everyone to set 'em up wrong the first few times. Trial by fire, as they say.
The stuff you can get around here is a lot nicer than that, so you should be spared the 'thinkin' you're bein' attacked by a ghost' experience.

Wasn't always a part of the main army, though. I'm still gettin' used to that part... and the 'havin' to do a ton of paperwork' part.

Maybe that's why you got pulled here? Maybe Echo or whoever knew you were better suited to the front lines? I dunno how the missions are in this place usually, but it sounds like you could be fighting. We might be going in to collect samples on this next one, but there could be something dangerous out there?

I got some fighting experience, yeah. The problem here is I don't have access to a sword or my powers right now. If you can teach me some cool moves I can do without a weapon, I'd definitely owe ya one.
[ It had been a worry in the back of his mind that he was trying not to entertain -- how he was going to survive this mission without any real means of defending himself. And then Oscar descended upon him like an answer to a prayer. Junpei could practically hear the choir of angels behind the guy! What a bro. ]

Haha... you're a swordsman too, huh? Soon as you find yourself a sword, we'll have to spar. I'd offer to loan you mine for the mission, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be much use to you.
[Since it's probably almost as long as Junpei is tall...]
I can teach you some basic martial arts, though. You don't need any weapons or powers to use those, and when you're on the battlefield, the more tricks you've got up your sleeve, the better.
[Says the man who got yelled at for attacking a gun user with his fists... in his defense, it worked!]
And you wouldn't owe me anything for that, other than making sure you keep yourself in one piece. Deal?

[ Junpei puts his fist to his palm and bows with a playful grin. Should be easy enough to stay alive! Granted, he has no idea what he's about to be up against...but they'll have a team. They can look out for each other, right? Piece of cake! ]
Much as I'd appreciate the loaner sword, I wouldn't wanna leave you without. You might be the cool soldier type who can turn any situation to your favor, buuuut if you're a swordsman then the sword's the most comfortable, right? I know I definitely feel like something's missing when I don't have mine.

I can make do with what I've got in a pinch, but you wouldn't be wrong on that front. I've gotten used to this sword, so even if I did find another one, it'd take me a little while to get a feel for it.

I'm actually pretty strong. Stronger than I look! The swords I use back home are all hefty. Granted, it's been almost a month since I've swung one, but you don't lose strength that quick! I'm sure I could at least lift yours.
