What's a good intro? Welcome to Etraya? Has the despair set in yet? Anyway. For those who haven't met me, my name is Dr. Robert Romano, I'm the de facto Hospital Director here.
De facto means no one's told me I'm not.
Every so often I post to ask the network if there are any other medical professionals around because I'm one surgeon from a non-magical world, and you people drop in with fairy flus and growing tentacles diseases I can't damn well fix.
So, if you're a doctor or a healer, drop in. We'll have an interview, if you're not an obvious psychopath and get a pass on ethics I'll give you an office, we got 21st century Earth medical tech and a wing to treat magical maladies.
If you're in need of a doctor, also drop in, I'll be nicer to you than to the first group.
If you're neither, what are you even doing here? Get a job. Go bag some groceries, the bots keep squishing my bread :(

And I'm not a doctor but I know how to patch wounds up in a pinch. Would that help? ( He could take off his shirt and show you all his stellar stitching, but he thinks that might just be unpleasant all round. ) Like if you were down a set of hands, I do not know enough medicine to help out full time. Maybe I don't even know any medicine! This place is way different from my world and there's no worms to grind up in a poultice like Nanny Dutch tried teaching me, so.
... But stitching! If you need it.

Are you an extroverted altruist? Those are my second favorite kind of people. We don't have a lot of walk-ins that need stitches, but if you want a job you can drop by and I'll find you something to do.
I have follow-up questions about grinding worms, but first, are you from before the Industrial Revolution. And, if you don't know what that means, have you been coughing up blood?

( So yes. )
But I have been looking for something to do. And I can carry stuff. Wheel people around. Give me a mop and you'll never find a cleaner floor!
Earth's Industrial Revolution? After. And I haven't coughed up blood in like six weeks!! Is that a thing?

Good news: The blood coughing isn't the thing I was worried about.
Bad news: It is, instead, a new thing to be worried about.

What were you worried about?

( There are no vaccinations on No Man's Land though. )

Maybe!
I don't know if anyone has ever tested that. The worms were a bigger problem.
