Greetings fellow Etrayans,

I write to you because I am in need of information or assistance. My horse has arrived, and as I live in the apartments, it is not suitable for her to live with me. What are the appropriate options for housing and caring for a horse here in Etraya?

I know the wild horses that arrived in February run free and are looked after, to some degree, by Aurora's assistants. However, provided access to the right resources, I am perfectly capable of caring for Kai myself and would like to do so.

Communications from people who know about this matter would be appreciated.

Horses are mount animals that get saddled and ridden. I would appreciate seeing whether a stable at your ranch would be suitable. What do you request in terms of rent?

[ There may be no currency here, but even if Mizu looks after Kai herself, she will use some of his resources. She is willing to pay in labor or whatever else gets Kai the home she needs. ]

Sure. Come by for a tour if you want. Rentwise, you can help out around the place or make an exchange. Some people shovel shit, some trade food or crafts, some help me out on missions or with personal projects, whatever you've got to offer.

My primary skills are as a swordsmith and swordsman. I also know how to properly care for horses. I've made kitchen knives and other items as well. If there's any steel items you are in need of, I am willing to trade in that kind. However, I am also willing to help with manual labor or on other projects.

[The only response is the indication that Cloud's read it, but whenever Mizu does swing by, he can be found out in the corral refilling the water troughs and feed buckets while chocobos of various colors and types mill about doing their chocobo things. [ Once Mizu dedicated an allotted time to the network—for the near instant communication makes it seem rude to request help then not respond to those generous enough to offer it—she rides and reaches the ranch indicated. It was not hard to ride until she found the tram station, then to continue on from there. It was also enjoyable, a break from interacting with people before another social interaction.

The enormous birds, yes the size of horses roughly, are the final confirmation Mizu needs she's in the right place. She rides her horse, Kai, a large Japanese horse, larger than some with knowledge of Japanese horses might think. She takes in the white man doing chores, acknowledges that Europe does not have birds like these, and calls out. ]

[Cloud turns, shading his eyes from the sun with one hand. When he spots Mizu and what he assumes must be the horse, he puts down the bucket of feed he's carrying and heads over there. He's carrying his enormous sword on his back, even here.]

[ Mizu's attention goes to the sword Strife carries. It's larger than most swords she's seen, and it's not a design Master Eiji would make. The worlds have various weapons, but even without seeing Strife do anything with the sword, she gets an idea of the kind of person he might be. You can always judge a person by their sword.

Mizu pats Kai's neck before she dismounts. It can be rude to speak down to someone from horseback, and she means to be polite. ]

Yes, this is Kai, and I'm Mizu.
