Chirper

CHIRPER

Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
  • Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
  • When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
  • Characters can either like ✅ or dislike ❌ others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
  • This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
  • For those who do post a top level, profiles are worth 5 extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These 5 extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.
Please feel free to switch out any of the Q&A questions with those listed here!

CHOCOBO COLOR ▷  Are there multiple colors?
Getting to know you!

Q: Can you tell us about a friend—or an adversary—you’ve made in Etraya?
A: Junpei is a wonderful friend of mine. He always knows how to cheer me up and has taught me a lot about things I don't know here. I'd never had cotton candy or soda before!

Q: What has surprised you most about Etraya’s culture or technology?
A: I don't have electricity at home so I've had to learn what that is.

Q: How do you react under pressure?
A: There's no reason to rush into anything.

Q: It's time for spring cleaning! Which domestic chore do you dislike the most?
A: Cleaning the privy.

Junpei really is a wonderful friend, isn't he? There is something infectiously positive about him.

He always seems to cheer me up. I'm glad to hear he has you as a friend, as well.

Thank you, Vincent. I'm glad we're friends as well, and I hope you've made more good friends.

I am not certain, but I have talked to more people than I have in many years.

I'm sure you're friends with some of them! It's nice talking to people, isn't it?

Perhaps.

[ Whether they consider him a friend is up to them. ]

It's new to me.

[ He's still determining how much he likes it, but it's necessary. ]

[ At first Fabian is tempted to comment on the Junpei thing, but very soon after he reads that name something else entirely catches his eye. ]

I don't have either of those back home. He also taught me what pizza is. And I don't know what I don't know, I'm learning as I go.

alright then let's start with a different question

what food do they have where you come from?

[ Because it seems like she's missing out on a lot in just that department by itself. ]

Isn't that question too big to answer? Pasties, vegetables, porridge, curries, cold and hot meats, fish, fruits, breads, I could keep going and grow old doing so.
maximumlegend: (i've seen it all before)

[personal profile] maximumlegend 2026-05-10 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
yes but otherwise it is difficult to figure out what exists there you know
i guess we have most of the stuff you mentioned
especially fish
that's the best

do you eat a lot of fish?
ever had kippers as a snack?
it is far better than pizza actually

I'm with you on the worst chore. We didn't have a privy when I was growing up, but I did have to scoop cow poop.

Did you live on a farm growing up?
newsbeat: (pic#18104530)

[personal profile] newsbeat 2026-05-09 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I did. I live in the city now, but I still enjoy going home to visit my parents on their farm when I can, and help out with what needs done.

[personal profile] threadmage 2026-05-12 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Did you know there's a farm here? It's very nice. I believe adults can come by if they help out.

[personal profile] threadmage 2026-05-08 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if it's my favorite, but the washing machine is much better than washing clothes by hand.
krtaps: (Breaking down another illusion.)

[personal profile] krtaps 2026-05-10 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Oh man that sounds like the WORST. That takes forever doesn't it?! And then you have to wait for it all to DRY IN THE AIR, right? That would make me so bored ALL THE TIME.
threadmage: (49)

[personal profile] threadmage 2026-05-12 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
It does take a much longer time than the washing machine. I still air dry my clothes, I read that drying them in the machine can make them shrink and reduces durability. But there's no work involved there, they just dry on their own!
