Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:

• Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
• When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
• Characters can either like ✅ or dislike ❌ others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
• This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
• For those who do post a top level, profiles are worth 5 extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These 5 extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

guess it depends on how you look at it. mistakes is how we learn, ain't they? if you ain't never made one, then there ain't nothing to be learning. unless you just like the idea of being perfect more than you like perfecting something.

Mistakes are exactly how we learn, but that word can be a little difficult to swallow down. Think about people who are very prideful. It’s not really about the ‘what,’ but how it’s being said. So I’m not saying I’m perfect. I’m definitely not. And I’ve definitely done things and said things that I probably shouldn’t have done or said! It’s more about the word choice.

If that makes sense.

i'm thinking the people who got too much pride are exactly the ones who need to be knocked down a peg or two and accept things for what they are. we can't go pretending a spade ain't a spade just because someone don't like it being called that, that ain't doing nobody any good. people need to appreciate the hard lessons as much as they appreciate their achievements, makes it all the more worthwhile.

I guess that's true. It's not like there aren't people who would claim they were perfect. Or that they wanted to be perfect.

But in my case, I prefer not to think of them as mistakes, even if that's what they are. I don't expect anyone else to do things the way I do. Or to think about them the way I do. It has nothing to do with perfection. I'm pretty NOT perfect!

well, keep doing whatever works for you. guess i was just trying to figure out if you was one of them folks or not, but you seem to have a decent head on your shoulders. we're all far from perfect, me probably more than most. i'm tacitus kilgore.

I like to think I'm pretty. Normal? Nothing really special. I don't stand out or anything. I'm just a little too cheerful, maybe! And small enough that I could easily be lost in a crowd!

well ms. gainsborough i'd say you at least seem the type to brighten up a room, which is worth something on most days. but i hope you getting lost in crowds ain't a usual occurence for you, do you got someone to look after you?

[Of course he isn't meaning that in a creepy way, he's actually a little concerned. This is a weird place for a small young woman to be alone in!]

I'm pretty resourceful, so I can usually talk my way out of situations, but I had a pretty great bodyguard back home. He's here, too! His name's Cloud, if you know him. Although I don't know if he really looks after me. Maybe he thinks of it that way, though!
