CHIRPER

Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
  • Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
  • When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
  • Characters can either like ✅ or dislike ❌ others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
  • This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
  • For those who do post a top level, profiles are worth 5 extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These 5 extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

Is there ever a good time for it? Being judged for someone else's actions doesn't feel fun even if it's positively.

Perhaps when you need to infiltrate a place, get past an inspection, or otherwise use subterfuge. In the case of being mistaken for someone dangerous, less so, but it could allow you to bluff your way out of circumstances.

If it's useful, it's useful. It's not about feeling.

Not particularly. I'm from Japan. Someone would need only see my eyes to realize I'm not whoever they thought I was. I'm more direct.

( He knows that could mean a myriad of things even if he doesn't have quite the context he'd require to fully understand. There's a reason Vash himself wears glasses. There's a part of himself he has to hide. )

Direct isn't so bad.

Though maybe it's not by choice? I don't know much about Japan, but I've met some descendants. What's it like for you?

It's what works, for me.

My father is white, and I have blue eyes. So in Japan, I'm a monster, a demon, an oni. To be avoided or put down. I don't have time to kill everyone who would try to kill me, so I wear tinted glasses.

He knows what it's like to hide all the parts of himself that might bring it to his door. His glasses hide the way the light catches in his Plant markings. He is familiar. And so he doesn't even balk at the mention of killing, despite how against it he is. )

That isn't right, and it isn't fair. You shouldn't have to. But you haven't had any problems here, right? Everyone's being okay? I can help if they aren't.

( Because while he's against killing he's not opposed to just hitting someone over the head with his gun. )

Fairness has never been a part of my life. No, people are less violent here, at least between strangers. If they were causing me problems, I assure you, my family would have put a stop to it.

[ She can acknowledge now, as opposed to two years ago, that there are people here who have powers she cannot counter or beat. If those people caused her problems, she could not resolve the matter herself. However, she also knows that Vergil, that all the Spardas, would not stand for that. ]

But also it's not a one time offer. You need anything just ask around for me. I'm pretty easy to find. Even if it's something silly, I like helping.

Anything is quite broad. Is there any particular kind of help that means I should think of you if I need it? Besides the silly kind.

[ She errs on the side of not asking for help when she needs it, but she's not against asking for help when it makes her life more convenient. It feels safer to ask then, at least of a stranger. However rare the likelihood she'll ask, she'll note him to remember. Too many times in her life when she couldn't afford to be picky. ]
