Hello, my name is Victoria Dallon. Antares when flying around trying to solve more problem than I might cause.

I've noticed that there is a relatively high population of capes around, or "superheroes" if you want to make extra sure your allegiances are clear. Supervillains too, I would assume? Whatever, I don't think anyone's that stupid to be trying to make something of villainous takeover.

At any rate, I've noticed that this place isn't really high on crime, and that every now and then we're going to be tested in one way or another. For that reason, I was wondering if people would be interested in making something of a support/tutelage group for capes? I was in something along those lines back home, and it helped me a great deal. We're lacking an actual cape therapist here, but I think we could still arrange drills and excersises to keep our powers and dynamics honed. And a space to talk about freely, too, because sometimes you just need someone that can listen and undertand, right?

I'm particularly interested in those that are either underage or whereabouts, since the older ones are most likely more experienced and don't really need this kind of thing as much.

So yeah, let me know if you would be interested in doing something of a little meet and greet to see if there's enough interest to get a group going.

If anything it will help us more active types to not go totally insane, I'd think.

No problem.

Just got here and I can't sit still. Besides, it seems we're going to be "tested" regularly in different ways, so preparing the younger ones to deal with whatever gets thrown our way would make me feel better.

Makes sense. We don't know how long term our stay is.

I know that some all encompassing organization might be too much to ask, but something on the more personal scale might be just enough to make some people's stay a bit less of a nightmare.

[anewhope]

I think personal is for the best. We're reaching out to hearts. And you can only do that slowly.

[etiological]

Yeah.

We'll see. It seems people without powers also do the hero gig in other worlds, so maybe they should be considered too, so long I'm sure nobody is going to get hurt.

[anewhope]

I think people will get hurt, no matter how much we wish otherwise.

But if we give the a place to be safe, to heal from the hurts, then we're already better off.

I guess.

It's not like I don't think they're useless or anything, but that's just something that doesn't happen in my world. But hey, I'm willing to be convinced.

Superheroes are just an idea. That someone out there will help you, no matter what.

[etiological]

Oooh boy, I wish I still had that kind of idealism. I'm 21 and already horribly jaded by the world.

[ The S does mean "hope" after all. ]

I'll try to have enough for the both of us.

But I wouldn't say you're horribly jaded if you came forth with this.

Well, I'm no quitter. Good happens because we make it happen after all.

There seems to be a new cafe thing people were complaining about.

Or we could try a rooftop, if you are extra interested in privacy.

[ What's a hero without a rooftop? ]

A cafe is fine.

[ he'll stick to being clark kent a bit longer. ]

Ok.

[ She attaches the address. I'll be the blonde with one too many coffees on the table.

And Victoria will be waiting for him there, two hot coffees in front of her. At least she doesn't have to wear an embarrassing placard. ]

[ clark comes by, dressed in a trenchcoat and glasses. he smiles before holding his hand out. ]

Clark Kent.

[ Oh no he's hot. ]

[ She stands up to shake his hand, because he's hella tall. She then motions to the chair. ]

So, I take it you're the sort of person that would prefer to keep certain things...secret?

[anewhope]

[ he ducks his head a little with a sheepish smile. ]

In a manner of speaking. Can I trust you to keep this between us?

I'm just not ready yet.

Of course, back in my world secret identities are very much a thing. I personally don't have the luxury of one, since I outed myself years ago.

[ That's an entirely different can of worms. ]

[anewhope]

[ his brow furrows. ]

Secret identities for what purpose?

[etiological]

Why do superheroes have secret identities? To keep their loved ones safe, to have a semblance of a normal life...I think those are the two big ones.

It's also easier to do your work when people aren't pointing at you the entire time.

[anewhope]

[ that's true enough. but clark feels he's missing something. ]
